    The plateaus

Makes sense. When I’m on my period I tend to give zero F%%ks. But I definitely would love to get out of this weight range - so I need to push harder. It’s a battle. Yes I get full super fast- but the more things I can now digest, the more tempting it is to eat foods that aren’t nutritious.. I do have cravings, but notice them gone the longer I can go without those junky foods...

    Recovery expectations - Realistic?

There is absolutely no way of knowing. Many people are rapid healers with little pain and little to no nausea. I was lucky and had a super easy surgery and healing experience. If you draw this card...you probably won't have any trouble doing a few hours of desk work after a few days. But there are plenty of other people who have severe nausea, complications, partial stricture, healing difficulties, setbacks, dehydration, difficulty drinking etc. If you draw this card, you could be in trouble for a few weeks or even months. Keep in mind that people who feel well enough to attend support group at 1-2 weeks likely fall in the first category. Luck of the draw. Wishing you the very best outcome.

I went on Amazon and bought a 12 pack of Pure Protein drinks. They have 35 grams of protein per can. They are chocolate flavored.

My dietitian says 60g of protein a day is sufficient to keep your diet working and protect your body from muscle loss.

I'm 5 months out. I'm at the low end of the calorie scale. I have a lot of restriction, and not a lot of physical hunger. I usually have shake in the morning, and 3 or so meals/snacks. As I said I have a lot of restriction, so a meal/snack is 1 oz of cheese or jerky, 1/2 to1 cup of soup, cucumbers with dip, laughing cow cheese w 34 degree crackers, coleslaw w light dressing, dehydrated cheese crackers, sandwich w 1/2 a slice of bread, 1 slice of turkey, mustard, ff mayo and lettuce, protein pasta w a 1/2 a turkey meatball and marinara sauce (2 oz by wt), greek yogurt, sf jello w greek yogurt, slice of watermelon 1/3 a Chicken or Mahi burger patty only (TJ's), quesadilla w a 1/2 a low carb tortilla, 1/2 oz cheese and salsa. So basically a shake, and mix and match from the other items I listed.

    Sludge in gallbladder

My gallbladder went to hell a year before my sleeve. I desperately wanted to save my gallbladder because I kept reading horror stories about people who had it removed. But I was having constant, super painful attacks that would wake me up at night and keep me up for hours. I ended up in the ER once when a stone got stuck in the bile duct. Sludge kept my gallbladder inflamed even when the stones were getting stuck. Apple cider vinegar helped to end the attacks a little sooner but they did nothing to prevent them. Changing my diet helped but even when I ate on plan, I would still have surprise attacks. All the online “flushes” are mythical. I ended up having my gallbladder removed the same time I was sleeved. My surgeon said it’s a good thing I did. I had several large stones and the organ itself was enlarged and inflamed. Could have ruptured if I let it go on much longer. Trust me. Removal was the last thing I wanted. But think about it. I’m so happy to have those attacks in the past!

Day 1 on my 7 day liquid and I’m STARVING! Helpful to see comments saying it gets better!

That’s amazing! All of you have lost a lot. I guess the important part is that the number on the scale keeps going down, not how fast it takes. Fingers crossed!!

Recipes for the soft food phase

I love this, but I'd start out with ground chicken until you see how you handle it. https://tasteofhome.com/recipes/white-bean-chicken-chili/?_mid=2385320&_rid=2385320.977035.251498&pmcode=TXC91VH189

It's not our place to be judgmental. Did you like speculation and comments of others about your obesity when you were larger? Give the public figures and celebs a break.
