I’m just going to brag a bit. My wife had been an angel. And I’m kind of a pain in the butt as a patient. As relieved as I was to wake up post op to her I was even more reassured as I waited to be wheeled into Surgery that she’d be there afterwards. A good partner makes such a difference. Cheers to those that support us!

    Searching for my Surgeon!

Most things I’ve read said it’s less risk than bypass and more risk than lap-band. I like the idea that if necessary I can move into a full bypass down the road if something comes up or it’s not quite as successful as I need. I’m hoping for September surgery. Thank you!

    Total Loss Of Sexual Desire

I am a little over 4 years post-op Had the RNY. Was 600 pounds now about 205. Surgery was great and everything has been a lot better since except my sex drive. I have been married for 22 years and our sex life has always been great. But ever since surgery I have had a total lack of interest in sex. It concerns both my wife and I. We went from 4-5 times a week before surgery (yes even when I weighed that much) to now maybe 1-2 times a month. Wife is a willing partner anytime but I am NEVER in the mood anymore. Anyone else experienced this? I know it will decrease with age but I am 48 and she is 43 so it shouldn’t be gone in me just yet. PS Just has testosterone tested and it was in normal range...

Just wanted to share a progress pic

My cousin had wls and lost her butt, I have been terrified of losing mine. And I mean this in these most respectful way, but you still have yours, and that gives me hope. You look amazing. I'm 5'2 and my heaviest was 230. I'm 2 months out and I'm a little around or before 198 (haven't weighed at my surgeon in a few weeks) Sent from my Z983 using BariatricPal mobile app

That's perfectly fine to drink the shake in 30 minutes. The swelling in your stomach has gone down and allows the liquid to pass right through. However, you now have absolutely no excuse not to get your water in every day! You won't really start feeling restriction until you start eating soft foods That's also when you start being able to feel "full". One tip for the hunger: Sugar-free jello, DON'T CHEW IT WELL! It will be slippery enough to get into your stomach all right, but it will take your stomach a while to break it down, so you feel full for a while. The little ready-to-eat cup is the perfect size! Good luck! p.s. In my area, bariatric support meetings are open to everyone, even if you didn't have surgery at their facility. Maybe you can find one near you?

You look fabulous! (Guess what? When models sit down, they have rolls, too. Theirs are just really petite.)

    Down 3 Sizes!

Good for you! Congratulations.. I am 12 days post op. I got rid of all my 2xl shirts over the weekend. Down 22lbs in 12days and 31lbs since beginning my liver shrink...this is crazy..hopefully I will be allowed to do more exercise than walking soon..really fatigue early but at 53yrs old and eating 650 calories a day, I guess my energy will slowly come around..keep up the good work!

    Anxiously waiting...

Good luck! I hope you are approved for surgery soon. A solid evidence-backed chance at getting to normal (or even "overweight") BMI is such a massive thing for those of us in the Obese category!
