    Rings too loose?

Hi there! I’m one month out from my VSG surgery and I’ve lost 47 lbs (21 before, 26 after). I’m still about 48 lbs from the weight I was 20 years ago, but my wedding ring is really loose. The fat had gone all around the ring, but not right under it. I’m wondering if the fat will remodel under my rings so they will fit again, or if I will need to get them resized. Thanks! I had my surgery 8 days ago. The first 48 hours were very painful. There is no way around that. Prepare yourself for that. However, my experience was that the pain really lifted by the 3rd day. I refused pain meds after day 3 as I was really ok. I was really surprised about that since the day of surgery and after was so painful. I don't think I experienced real pain after 48 hours - just soreness and discomfort from the gas they pump your stomach with in order to see in between the organs. You will notice some pain across your shoulders and a very distended belly. That is from the surgery gas and you will have soreness from the stretching of your tummy and across your chest. I brought natural nausea patches which they put on me right after surgery that worked like a dream. I also brought gasX strips with me and used one the day after surgery but yes, walk walk walk is what works to get that gas up. Hang in there - you only JUST had your surgery. It wont stay this painful my dear.

Do you have to do low carb/Keto?

Thanks you guys. I have to supplement protein anyway because I am not a big fan of meat or dairy. I prefer dairy free. I was wondering because I knew I couldn't live with or stick to low carb or keto long term. I had heard protein and veggies first so thought I had to stick to a diet like the preop diet which I'm really struggling with. I don't feel satisfied at all.

    TMI - Poop and hemorrhoids

After surgery i got constipation and got hemeroids. I used the well known hemeroid creams, but they would just relieve the symptoms, i could still feel the bumps. I was using CBD cream for my knees, and just tried it for the hemeroids. Within 3 days they disappeared and all the pain was gone! So freaking happy that stuff is gone. Try it! Skip the baby food. Make sure you get your water in first and do protein shakes second. If you go with premier protein then you can get most if not all of your protein from 2 of those a day.

    Sleep question for post op.

There is no such thing as too much sleep, only too little. Rest for as long as you need, whenever you need and don't be too concerned about it, you'll be fine!

Try Syntrax powder mixed in Fairlife Milk. I suspect this will help you out a lot. Syntrax is lactose free as is the fairlife (not to mention that it has higher protein than plain milk) Plus, Syntrax is a better quality of protein than the premier. I like the Chocolate Truffle and Cookies and Cream best. Good luck!
