off program and gained back 21 pounds

Hard to do, but remember you are choosing to gain weight back. You may not realize it, but everything you put in your mouth is a choice. You didn't sit down one day and say I want to gain weight, but every time you take a bite of the wrong stuff or too much you choose to do that. Nothing is easy about it, otherwise none of us would be here. I find the first thing to do to get back on track is to be accountable. Track every single bite, count calories and then it will likely be very obvious what needs to change. Unfortunately it's harder once you're out a while from the sleeve and it's more like a regular diet. I'm personally going through this now and being accountable has helped me get back to where I should be in terms of eating. Don't give up. It's a life long battle and you haven't lost

Just seeing this! I hope you are doing better and will not need further surgery. I can somewhat relate due to having complications my surgeon didn't take seriously post op either. It is incredibly frustrating. Its almost like after the big money surgery, some doctors/practitioners don't want to be bothered with follow up care. I am so happy you kept pushing for yourself and got some treatment before it got even worse. I will be praying for you. Keep us updated

    Things are moving along

I’m so happy and relieved, saw the psychologist on Friday and I passed!! I was so nervous and didn’t know what to expect but once I met her I was fine. She made me feel comfortable. So, things are moving along for me. I see the nutritionist on may 9th. Has anyone heard of H-pylori? Apparently I tested positive for that. Sucks! I’ve been on antibiotics for it and I have to test again through the stool. Not looking forward to that part. I was hoping everything would go smooth but I’m guessing this might slow down my surgery date. I’m so ready to have surgery. I hate waiting. I’m an impatient person. Anyway, hoping to get a surgery date soon. [emoji51]

I made lentil soup during this stage. I just pureed it so it was chunk free. Definitely my favorite thing from that stage.

    Pain...later

I have been using a heating pad, not with moist heat though because the steri-strips came off that incision (like they were supposed to) but part of the wound looks/..icky to me, its healing but I don't want the scabby part to open it's weird looking. Luckily my sister and my aunt and other aunt and best friend are all nurses, they said the wound isn't infected or anything, just to be careful of it but at this stage no bandage. Sooo..a heat yes, but not moist as of yet. See the surgeon Tuesday, but the pain is really nasty at night

You can also ask him if they hang low, if they wobble to and fro, etc.

    Recovery Update

You know I was talking about my hubby's ordeal and almost the same thing happened to him. His Dr used his scissors to open up his abcess. NO anesthetic at all also. He hardly smiled at all but that day he was smiling as he did it. His nurse came back with the Lidocaine and was saying she had it but he didn't pay her no mind. I can not belive how uncaring they can be. t was a very long process and I hope your Dr keeps on yours unti it is healed. We had to find a Surgon to finally get him well. It took over 9 months fr it but we so appreciate our PCP for finally helping us out by calling his friend and convincing him to do the surgery to put the wound vac in. The Dr that did his failed surgery was such a uncaring person and I hoe he gets his somewhere down the line. He lost us as his patients and word of mouth goes a long way to smear his reputation. Keep up the good fight!! I wish you all the best of luck!!
