    bad habbits and meds contributing

Oh PoMo , i am without a doubt the very last person who should be answering your post. All the advice you seek is in your post. dont eat every 2-3 hours cut out the sugars increase protein increase water add exercise after the surgery it is all a mental game and you have to commit to winning the mental game or the physcial one is lost. Start by cutting out the sugars then the refined carbs- if its located in the middle of a store it is not a good idea. replace with protien and start walking and dont stop. walk all the time as much as you can whenever you can. drink water pls. If you have to add 0 calorie flavors to help. Last - Dont Surrender come back everyday and lets us know how you did and how far you walked and google wls support for you city and find a grp of local people going thru this so you can feel connected. Just dont give up

    Protein First

People either love it or hate it. That's why I said I negotiated with myself. LOL. But I do actually like their WF Italian, and I like their WF Asian and WF Sesame Ginger. I have even gotten to where I will tolerate the Chipotle Mayo cuz who doesn't love better living through chemistry. And if I can max my cals out with protein and nutrients rather than expending them on gooberish stuff like sauces and dressings, why not? So I gave myself permission to "like" them.

Give DH love from all of us. I'm so glad to hear such good news, thank you for being so supportive. My support when my time comes will be my son, and I believe he will be as good for me as you are for DH. You get some rest, yourself. Hopefully,my,own RnY will be next month, without him I would be anxious about doing it at 72. Support people do mean a lot. God Bless and keep you both [emoji14] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

    Note to self

Sorry to hear - I did that once - didn't get sick, but couldn't take another bite - couldn't move - just couldn't do anything but pray, swallow slowly, and hope that it passed (literally) and didn't come back up. It was miserable! No rushing. Always make time for your meal - and don't eat distractedly. I'm reminding ME not you I'm still at risk to do it again! Hope you're feeling better!

I had to lose 30 before surgery. I did 2 protein shakes a day and a 600 calorie meal along with contraive. It came off so fast and easy almost considered not doing surgery. Good luck![emoji256] SIPS procedure 12/11/17 SW 307 CW 214 GW 160

OK, I'll admit to being selfish here. During the pre-op clear liquid phase (just 2 days) I asked my family to eat dinners out. I was soooo hungry. After the surgery, it wasn't nearly so challenging. But still, if you can avoid cooking foods that smell really deliscious and have to cook for hours, that would be kind. (Smelling chili cooking for 3 hours just about did me in!) Depending on his doctor, he may be on liquids for 2 weeks or longer after the surgery. I found that to be the hardest time. Once I could get something even a bit solid, like applesauce, it wasn't so bad. A lot will depend on whether he experiences a lot of nausea, too. Good luck to you both!

    One Month Post Op/Plateau?

You were lied to. The three weeks stall is infamous. What can you do? Be patient. That's it.
