    3 more days!!

Don't tie, yourself in "nots". don't think any ,bad thoughts or worry. Relax these few days, get up the morning of surgery in a peaceful state, you've worked hard to make it to this day, you can trust your surgical procedure team to take good care, granted they do a lot of surgery but each patient is unique and special. Among the varied things I've done in my lifetime, I was in healthcare for 25 years. I know what I speak of, on that day you are special, the STAR of the show. They will do their level best to make it a good experience, you, want to be safe and healthy, well they want that too. They will take as good a care of you as if you were a family member, maybe better. I have some rotten relatives on my late Daddy's side of the family, I may be the best of that crop. There's an old saying "Of all my relatives, I like me best!" Theres always one or two rotten or misshapened apples on the family tree, mine were 1st cousins. But I digress, we were discussing you and surgery. Please, believe me it will be so good. You're going to climb on that bed, soon you'll doze off and when you wake you'll be starting on your new life. Might be a little uncomfortable in the tummy area but remember you're newly renovated, your gastric area got its spring cleaning. Soon you'll be up walking, sipping and smiling. You've done it kid and your bright new life is starting. And when you feel a little better you'll realize it for the great thing it is. And I'll be so envious because I want to be there too. My day is going to come, the fact I don't know the exact, day doesn't bother me , I know it is coming and you'll be able to tell me,"it's okay" too. Now a big [emoji2], it's going to be okay! Thankfully/Unfortunately I have a wardrobe that ranges from Medium to XL as my weight bounces around over the years, so no need to buy anything.

Yes, I bought XL t-shirts from Groupon and Woot several months before I needed them. In general, if I’m buying clothes, it’s in the next size down from where I’m at now. Today I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my suits can be taken in, and for free, since the charge I already paid for tailoring was for the life of the suits.

    Blended Shakes and Swallowing Air

My nutritionist said the same, if you do blend, make them the night before and let them settle.

We all deserve to be in the normal bracket, worked for it, planned for it, even slightly rearranged our bodies to achieve it. Normal -yes, Average-no, average is as close to the bottom as the top. We will not settle for being bottom feeders, we are and will,be slim, trim and sleek! Power to Us All! The Average American Woman

But you're still cute and with that shape cuddly and you still rock the world. It takes all kinds but we all can be healthier and feel fine. Just be YOU, you wouldn't be here if you didn't fulfill a need in the world. There are days I feel my only purpose is to serve as a bad example. But I usually bounce back and things are fine again.[emoji106][emoji86][emoji87][emoji85] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

My surgery was done 6 weeks ago. It was done with a scope. I had 6 small incisions which are healed now. The stapled stomach inside takes 6 weeks to heal. Please don't worry. It will be fine. Try not to over-think things.

    Wine

4 wks out - I was a big social drinker as well and can relate to sillykitty. It’s very much a habit. At 3 weeks I was at an event and tried a sip of beer and couldn’t stand it. The carbonation tasted super exaggerated and the flavor had changed. Last night I was at a dinner party and decided to try wine. I gave myself a smaller 4oz pour and the taste had changed as well. I didn’t really like it but out of habit kept taking sips. I nursed this glass for over 3 hours and still had about an oz left to pour out at the end of the night. I’ve lost the desire to drink and for the most part am totally fine being out and drinking water. Sleeved 3/12/18, HW 270, SW 253, CW 238, GW 160, 5’9”
