    Cookie sang to me

The stuff that sings to me....gets re-homed. Just takes too much emotional energy to slip up and feel guilty. I'm tired of the food drama in my life. My food at home falls under two categories... 1. Healthy legal stuff. 2. Naughy stuff my husband likes that I find repugnant. Not saying I don't eat treats once in a blue moon. I do. But I make a point not to bring it into the house, or only bring it into the house for a special occasion with a very limited quantity. Lots of steps that make me THINK about the choice. Not saying I can't make that choice once in a while....but it's gonna be my idea and not the singing. LOL:) I want my food choices to be deliberate. (even the occasional splurge) There is one legal-ish item that I struggle with a little. Yasso greek yogurt bars. God, how I love them. LOL. They come in a box of four. I usually get them when I take my mom grocery shopping. I take two home (one for me, one for hubby), and leave two at her house. They have a hell of a time singing to me....from her house:)

    Feeling cold

I am 4 days post op and am getting cold easily. I am staying under a pile of blankets and (to my husband’s delight) making him snuggle me to stay warm when he can. I read this is normal, so I am not worrying. I am just looking for ways to stay warm other than wearing lots of layers of clothes or turning up the heat in the house (oil isn’t cheap lol). Any recommendations are welcome.

    Submission Finally

So my dr's office finally submitted the paperwork to BCBS of IL yesterday, They said they received it, will do the medically review and then submit it to Team Care (hubby is a UPS'er) for approval. Hoping to have all of this done by May. Started the process in Nov. Over here sitting on pins and needles. With all of my co-morbidities, I'm beyond ready to use this tool to get some relief. Just excited and needed to get it off of my chest. I have told a few co-workers, but most just think I'm going out to have surgery on my legs for my venous reflux. I can't wait.

    Weight loss plateau

Thank you. I am nervous and excited. I have been trying to have surgery for 3 years and finally have insurance that will cover it so I don’t want to screw it up.

    Wine

4 wks out - I was a big social drinker as well and can relate to sillykitty. It’s very much a habit. At 3 weeks I was at an event and tried a sip of beer and couldn’t stand it. The carbonation tasted super exaggerated and the flavor had changed. Last night I was at a dinner party and decided to try wine. I gave myself a smaller 4oz pour and the taste had changed as well. I didn’t really like it but out of habit kept taking sips. I nursed this glass for over 3 hours and still had about an oz left to pour out at the end of the night. I’ve lost the desire to drink and for the most part am totally fine being out and drinking water. Sleeved 3/12/18, HW 270, SW 253, CW 238, GW 160, 5’9”

    Feeling cold

im from the caribbean and its always hot as hell. i always turn up the airconditioning sky high everywhere. my collegues would go crazy. after the surgery, that all switched. im asking them to lower the AC, i drive windows a little bit open in the car, no more AC, and at home i just turn on the AC for an hour to get things cool and then turn it of cause i would be freezing . afterloosing about 120 pund, i have less bodyfat to keep me warm too lol. it saves me ton of money on the electric boll tho

    Wine

I'm nearly six weeks out and my stomach is still so "acidy" that I wouldn't dare add wine!

    Wine

About five weeks in my case. I now have about three to five in any given week as part of a daily calorie allowance of 950-1250 calories.
