Wanted to share since I’m hoping other people have gone through this or to encourage and show others what a great decision this was. Went away for the week with the family and I lost 3 pounds!!!! [emoji50][emoji50] that has NEVER happened to me before, even when I was on a “diet.” I’m about 3 months post-op and although I tried to eat healthy and brought protein shakes, there were of course many times when I ate other things like pizza, ice cream, etc. My new little pouch is amazing because it helped me to eat a lot less and not over-indulge in food that I would’ve in the past. I won’t lie, it has been a struggle - from making the decision to have this surgery, getting used to not drinking before and after meals, eating a little bit of food and so on and so on. But times like this makes me realize what a great decision I made for myself and that I can still have a good time and eat right. So definitely a win win!!!

I was also sleeved on 3/20 and seemed to have stalled at 17lbs. I only weigh myself once a week and at my post op dr visit. I was getting frustrated, but see we are all in similar situations. We need to trust the process. [emoji4]

Oh yes, yes, yes - irritatingly, annoyingly, exasperatingly, frustratingly normal! Prep yourself for stalls regularly on this journey. At 3 weeks. At 3 months. I lose pretty consistently 100g a day now - 3/4lbs a week. But some days when I think I have eaten perfectly normally I will put on a pound! It goes fast, but water retention, hormones, muscle building all have an impact. One trick I have learned - often when I am in a stall, is when I will drop a pants size, or a bra size. So make sure you get in the habit of checking that or doing regular same-spot measurements with a tape measure and you will stay smiling!

When Did YOUR Energy Come Back?

Mine was back to 100% at six weeks I'd say. I started exercising at 5 weeks though. I also increased my calories from 300-400 a day to 500-600, which I think helped. I didn't do this intentionally but actual food has more calories than liquids. I was consuming more by this stage in the food progression.

    No Weight Loss--like at all

Rotten meat is what you get when you mix "Ketosis" with ultra low calorie diet. My wife is similarly missing the abnormally sweet breath I had a couple of years ago when I was on Atkins.

    No Weight Loss--like at all

Thanks again. I've had Keto breath before, but it was usually sweet...not like "rotten meat" as my husband described it.... Oh well. Time to up my water intake too.

    Skin break out?

I haven't broken out, but I'm so dry. I have been using my son's eczema cream. You can find it at Walmart, its called Ceravae. It thicker than lotion and in this house we use it like it's going out of style.
