    My secret sleeve journey

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry you had to go through that. It sounds like a toxic family relationship. (I'm familiar). I am so proud of you for standing your ground. You are a smart, beautiful woman and you deserve to live your life how you choose. That is what life is all about!! I am excited FOR you!! LOL

Check in, share our successes! Overall doing well, although I’m still worried I’m eating too much volume (ie 4 oz ground turkey looks like a lot to eat but I can no problem for a meal. Super happy with results so far but notice a slowing now. Need to exercise more Check in people! HW 242, SW 236- (Bypass 12/20/17) GW#1- 199 [emoji736] (2/11/18) GW#2- 175 CW 189 5’6”

    Help

Maybe you've been such a good girl you've hit the dreaded 3-week stall 9 days early. Keep on what you're doing right, once your body "catches its breath" you will resume losing again. Have your measurements gotten smaller,? even those NSV (non scale victories) are something to feel proud of. You are an example to all the "newbies" who yearn to be like you and someday they will be. Smile, you're still traveling on the road to better health![emoji12] Sent from my VS880PP using BariatricPal mobile app

My date of surgery was 12/18/17. I’ve released officially 32 lbs from surgery date. Was at my 3 month post op appt a week ago. They said I was right on tract with my weight loss. I have a long ways to go, like 100 lbs. if you noticed I said release. I was at a seminar that encouraged being mindful in how you speak. Such as saying lost, means you’re looking for it. Trust me, I’m not looking for those 32 lbs again! [emoji13]. Hope this helps someone in their journey. I need to kick up my activity. Found out yesterday that I have bones spurs in my right hip joint. Going to try injections before going for surgery. Hope they work.

I am 10 months post op with Dr, Illan and would not change it in any way. I wish all our Canadian medical services would be great as BariatricPalMx. Good Luck!

Dr Luis Montano Or Dr Jalil Illan

I am 5 days post op with dr.illan and I would choose him and his staff all day every day all over again. I had an amazing experience as well as my mom that came with me. We were both taken care of 100% of the time. Surgery (sleeve) went smooth and I have been up walking and good to go since a couple hours after surgery. Good luck with your decision and have a wonderful surgery and a great recovery!!

I did have RNY. I became really sick and couldn’t eat or drink and I had horrible pain on my left side. Also, I couldn’t take a deep breath. They did a cat scan and found the leak. After surgery I was in the hospital 29 days. It’s been a long process getting better.
