    Somewhere along the line ...

I read that Gastric Bypass patients lose an average of 75% of their excess body weight. At the time of surgery, I weighed 346 and my ideal body weight by BMI is approximately 190 pounds. So, that means I am carrying an excess weight of 156 pounds. 75% of 156 pounds is 117 pounds. So that means if I lost 75% of my excess weight, I would be a relatively svelt 229 pounds. Crunching the numbers is interesting. 229 seems like an impossibly long way off but I'm only going to take it day by day.

Went through the five trash bags of too-small clothes I have accumulated (some are mine from when I was a little smaller, some were my mom's, some a friend's, some yard sale finds, some bought at store closeout/clearance sales). One bag ended up being a bag of to-donate items that had gotten mixed in with the others inadvertently, so I don't have as much as I expected. But it's now separated into two bags of pants and two bags of shirts, organized by size.

    Feeling Less Sexy

You are young (I'm envious)and beautiful inside and out! Body image is a strange thing in this process. It may take time for your mind to catch up to your weight loss. Feeling sexy may be on and off until your hormones get used to your birth control. Not sure about you but my marriage sex drive fluxuates. *laughing*

    Running/exercise again?

My doctor released me to swim at 3 weeks - once the incisions had healed. It was at 6 weeks that I was cleared for all other activities including running. Although I didn't really feel like doing much until 3 months post op due to the low energy / low calories. I had enough energy to get through the work day but nothing else. At 9 months back to my triathlon training - stronger than ever.

So i got great news today, i got a date for May 7th, when i spoke to my employer, they pretty much said it was an inconcenience due to another co worker going on vacation, we have different roles but they dont like when both of us are out. So i had to postpone til june 29th, its so frustrating being so close then having to wait longer. Sick of feeling this way. Ugh vent done. Sent from my SM-G935T using BariatricPal mobile app
