    Day 4 Post-Op

    Favorite cookbook now?

I used to love hard copy cookbooks but now I just search on Pinterest and save them. Print them out if they meet my macros.

    Help with dehydration

If you've honestly only had 1 bottle of water since yesterday, you MUST call your doc. Likely he's gonna want you in the ER for fluids. You can't di*k around with dehydration hon. I would NOT eat without being able to have fluids. I would try everything: ice chips, tons of sf popsicles. You do NOT need food or protein right now. You need liquid hydration first and foremost. If you try to eat while seriously dehydrated you can bring on nausea, cardiac issues, vomitting. Lots of bad juju. Sorry you are struggling! Call your team! That's why they get the big bucks!

That does stink that it basically adds a stall week per month because of our stupid menstrual cycle. Joys of womanhood I guess! I remind myself about how many calories equals a pound each time I've stepped on the scale this week. It is super frustrating. I've fluctuated all the way to +4lbs. And then the next morning I will be down 2lbs and so on.... Next month when it is this time, I won't even weigh in. It's too stressful.

I’m 27 and live in Texas. I started the whole process in November and just got approval by my insurance company. I’ll be having surgery May 29th right after the school year ends. I’m both excited and nervous.

So the upper gi was super simple, I was in the office maybe 2 hours total and that was for registration, prep and after. I don’t remember any of it but I had no issues once the anesthesia wore off. Also the psych appointment I had this morning was easy too, he was super easy to talk to, and the questions were just every day things. Happy early birthday!!!! I have to lose weight to show that I’m dedicated to the program and success. I’m trying my best but it’s very difficult. I have read so much on this app and other apps, websites, articles etc that have educated me and help me through this process. My family is also very supportive which is helping me a lot. I am happy to know someone else on about the same timeline as me!!
