    Advice Needed

Focus on the health reasons, not the vain ones. Sent from my SM-T560NU using BariatricPal mobile app

Ok sorry for leaving you all hanging. I do not have cancer, that dr was being an arse. I went to a Hematolgoist and my Iron just was super low. I had an infusion and was great. I didn’t get my surgery right away since I had to give my body time to recover from the infusion and then my son has brought home every germ imaginable Lol. So after I’m well from this flu I’ll be going in. Again. Apologies about running off for awhile. That dr had me a mess.

    New date

So as I said earlier I ended up in the ER with a really bad kidney infection. They cancelled my surgery well it's finally rescheduled for 2/9. It was originally suppose to be tomorrow. Sent from my SM-J727T1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    No Appetite/Pain

Hi there, have you spoken to your surgeon about this? What did they say? #1 - What food stage are you at right now? #2 - What are your protocol goals on Protein, Water and vitamins, and are you able to meet those goals? #3 - Dehydration can be a deadly complication, do not take this lightly, that you are unable to ingest liquid or food. You should consider going to the ER right now. Having chest pains, abdominal pains, these are no good. Above all I think you should immediatly pick up your phone and call your surgeon's office. Many people have come here asking this kind of advise and the next time we hear from them they are in a hospital room on an IV drip. It's no joke.

I’m really ready. I have a close friend who is a year post op and seeing her go through the experience really inspired me. You can totally do the pre-op diet!

    To All The WLS Vets

Since I'm a pre-surg noob and can't post to your Veterans forum, I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you for answering thousands of questions from us newbies! Thank you for sharing your journeys through the ups and downs. Thank you for giving me (I'm not gonna speak for anyone else lol), the opportunity to witness your scale and NS victories. I've learned and will continue to learn so much from your challenges and journeys. You wouldn't even believe! I hope one day to be able to pay it forward to others. And I really, truly hope that I'm now mature enough to learn from your experience, without having to reinvent the wheel through personal trial and error!!! Again, huge debt of gratitude and thanks to you all!

    Off to the hospital!

Trust your saner self....the self that worked for months to make this surgery happen. The self who is kinda terrified today...is understandably under some stress:)

    etc. etc. etc.

    Carbonated Beverages?

You ever leave a glass bottle in the freezer to get it cold, then forget about it and it breaks? That because stuff expands as it freezes. It's not good to fill something that can break or be damaged with something that expands. Carbonated beverages expand. Some bariatric patients say they can get away with them. But like creekimp13 says above, virtually all surgeons will insist this is a terrible idea. Me, I got really into hot tea, which has been a nice substitute. And it settles my stomach rather than upsetting it, which is a bonus.
