    Anyone from Kentucky

I'm not from Kentucky but wanted to jump in a wish you a speedy recovery from your surgery.

Hiya I was squirting like a firehose for the first couple of weeks! “Fart with follow-through” - NEVER trust a RNY fart! Now, I get a bit of warning, and the first half of a movement has substance, with a liquid finish - so clear progress!

    8 months post op

Talofa from Washington Wow you look awesome [emoji1433] I am actually going to have my last dietitian visit January 24th. It’s starting to become real for me. I am starting to get nervous and a little scared but can’t to see where this journey takes me. Seeing your progress makes so happy to see what’s to come.

I’ve been the same. I took one Imodium the first day I had the runs. Then I switched to kaopectate liquid bc it went down easier. Good luck!

Have you already been approved by insurance? If so, you won’t be disqualified.

    My Doc seems very thorough

My doc wanted an upper GI with barium....which I promptly flunked. LOL. Had "abnormalities", so I had to go in for an endoscope. Found out I had chronic gastritis and had biopsies taken to make sure I wasn't carrying the ulcer bacteria. I was not. He also wanted an EKG, Chest films, and a lot of blood work. I think most of this is pretty standard. I know that if there are any abnormalities on anything...you get sent for sleep studies and stress tests and cardiologists and stuff....just to be sure you're safe and that everyone is prepared for your particular health issues. I felt very safe with my doc....he was all about looking before you leap and having a good strategy plan for each person's health issues. I liked that he was thorough and made the surgery as safe as possible.

    Tomorrow Is The Big Day

Thank you to everyone that responded... I’m doing a lot better than I thought I would.... Surgery was quick and easy... no major pain just soreness at the incisions and surprisingly I’m getting my fluids in, although I do have to constantly remind myself to drink water, etc. Hoping I advance in diet when I see her for my 1 week post-op check up! Thank you all for the well wishes

You have to trust the process.. I remeber losing 14 lbs per week avg first couple of months.. but I was bug (405lbs). The lower your bmi the lower pounds you loose per week. Metabolism is different too.. forget the scale and focus on size.. believe or not you might be loosing inches.. just trust procress.. follow your diet.. meet your liquid intake and protein and you will be ok.. cheers pal! And dont get discouraged
