    Christmas Menu

I smoked a brisket and some chicken. I ate mostly meats, with a bite of scalloped pirates and of a greenbean casserole. I have NOT been counting calories today, if Iโ€™m over 1500 for the day Iโ€™d be shocked. I did drink a Protien Shake first thing this morning. I have every intention of eating a small piece of chocolate silk pie my family encourages me to make every holiday. I already have my clothes laid out for a run tomorrow morning! Good Luck! Christmas Menu

Just wondering what everybody ate or is eating on Christmas to compare notes - especially those that are around 3 weeks post-op like me. Sleeved: 2/12/2017 SW: 209lbs/95kgs

12 days in. I flew back north to my home today - so of course I weighed in for the first time. Down 19 lbs since I began pre-op diet, and 14 lbs since surgery. More importantly, my jeans are loose, and my tee shirt has stopped hanging off my belly, instead falling from my bust. Oh yes. Residual fatigue, little pain. No problems eating but then, I havenโ€™t tried anything stupid size/speed wise. I think I am eating faster than I thought I would, but no problem, just trying to slow down and give my new tummy a chance to bed in. Yoghurt. Cottage cheese (with a few drops of chipotle today - fantastic) and protein drinks. 6-7 glasses of water. So far, so darned perfect.

It's an adjustment for them. I understand that its bothers you to hear "don't lose more weight" It may be out of concern or it may be a compliment. Reassure them you are healthy. It will pass with time once you are maintaining. It's hard enough for us to wrap our heads around the weight loss. Some of the comments kind of mess with your head a bit. I went to a check up at my surgeon's office. The nurse comment "if you gained 10 more I would look less skeletal" I was at goal 140 and a healthy BMI.

Yes, that is almost certainly the evolution of a bruise.

I want to have 1 drink

My group says to exercise caution because you'll get tipsy a lot easier......but that one drink is fine once in a while.

Hi, I would love to talk and get to know any woman who has had the surgery and possibly date if there are sparks. It would be great to meet someone who has the same issues and understand everything we go through after surgery. I am 2.5 years after surgery. Can't wait to hear from you.
