    Hard Work Pays Off ♥️

The first and last love is to love yourself! Never in a million years did I ever picture myself wearing such dress. I loved it and how I felt in it. Amazing feeling to experience. When your confident in each step, it shows and it attracts so many good things. One of the most memorable days of my life [emoji813]️

    Sleep Apnea and Anesthesia

If you think about it, they're so many obese people like me with obstructive sleep apnea that have surgery. They see it all the time. As long as you have a good surgical team that you are confident in, you'll do great. That put me at ease real quick. When I went to the surgery room and got on the surgery table, they propped my upper body up and that when I first fell asleep they could quickly intubate me and get the show on the road. Looking back to two days ago, I had absolutely NOTHING to worry about because I trusted my team and expressed ALL of my fears and concerns. You'll do great. Be confident with the team you chose to perform life changing surgery on you. Good luck. You got this. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Having hard time sleeping

Nope. You didn't hurt anything. Next time you want to try foods, stick with the next foods on your list. Try a little oatmeal or yogurt....leave the pecans for a while down the road:)

    Post surgery check list

Biotene swabs for dry mouth - after surgery you feel like you will never get your mouth hydrated. Heating pad instead of hot water bottle. A thermal cup because stuff gets warm/cold because it takes awhile to get stuff down after surgery. After the first week, I could barely tolerate sweet protein drinks, I had ready-made Isopure punch or blue raspberry and mixed it half n half with premixed crystal light, Isopure is tart, 4ogr protein for 20oz and clear. Also tea because warm liquid relaxes the muscles in your esophagus and stomach. I agree on the Sam's Choice Bone Broth at Walmart, I added garlic and simmered vegetables in mine for extra flavor then strained it. Audible books for while you are walking. Take naps when you need them, sometimes you don't realize you are tired and BAM! You hit a wall of exhaustion five minutes later. Good luck.

    It's already started.

I've been married to my husband for 30 years. I'm not really worried about him having a problem with me being more independent. I did tell him I worry that if I want to go out and do stuff he wouldn't want to because we both enjoy our computer time. He says he's willing to go do anything I want to as long as we do it together. That says and means a lot to me. I'm glad he's in my life.

I, too, went Whole Foods plant based a few weeks back, I had the sleeve. I don't worry about my protein levels (nor anything else). I believe that my WFPB diet will take care of itself. And so far so good, my labwork came back awesome. Nothing my doc to worry about or deficiency in anything either. Still losing weight but even better...I'm getting healthier too. 😊

Congrats on switching to vegan! Such a great choice, I've never looked back when I went in 2003. I had RNY, but I've had no problem at all getting protein, I don't even need to pay attention to it and I still get more than what's required by my doc.
