You can get a patch behind your ear for nausea - scopolamine - ask for one, works for three days. Or zofran scrip. Good luck and welcome to the other side.

    Gastric Bypass Day 2

Congrats on your surgery. Do you have a list of post op diet instructions? Did you have surgery here in the US? If so, call your surgeon's office and get them to send you the diet instructions. Most of us get them from either our surgeon or our RD during the 3-6 months leading up to surgery. Every doc has a different plan.

    Silly Anesthesia Question

That anesthesia works very fast. Within a few minutes of receiving it, I was out. Not rambling on, but out. I didn't receive it until I was in the OR. If that is the case for you, your friend won't be allowed in anyway, so there is nothing to worry about. People respond to the anesthesia differently. Some get sick and nauseous, some are fine. I was lucky enough to be one of the latter. I had an excellent experience. Don't worry though. You will be fine. Think good thoughts. Welcome to the loser's club!

Well...so I'm told by my surgeon. She calls it the "one golden shot" surgery. But, you also know about the dreaded 3 week stall, right? It can hit anywhere from 2-8 weeks out so I hear? Hang loose, and work your plan like your working your favorite corner on a Saturday night on the strip!

    Weight loss buddy/crew

Hi my name is sandy from NJ and I have decided to do the gastric sleeve. I have already met with my nutritionist and have 3 more left. Hopefully there are people out there that plan on doing the surgery or have done it...so let’s be buddies and fight the same psychological & physical battle.

    Stalled and stuck

Dehydration can cause the dizziness as well as lack of nutrition. You don't state how many grams of protein or liquids you are consuming. A deficit of either will also cause the stall to last longer. If you work retail, how often are you able to eat/drink during your shift? You need something every hour to drink and every 3 to eat in these early stages. How is urine ouput and color? Try warm tea, or popsicles for fluid or crystal light half and half w a clear protein drink in a thermal cup.

    Need typical day menu

A lot of plans want patients approximating 3 meals a day eating. A typical meal lasts 20 minutes, and if you eat longer than that, you'll "overeat". I can overeat on ice cream in 30 seconds. I can't possibly overeat grilled salmon.

    Paid By Insurance

Hello joteddie I had my gastric sleeve in 2013 lost 80 lbs and have maintained pretty good probably gained about 10 lbs back due to back surgery and not able to be active.....I have in the past two year document and gone to doctor for severe cases of rashes I didn't think I would get approved and was surprised [emoji15] when I received my approval letter in the mail last week. I'm hoping to loose the 10lbs I've gained before I have the surgery in December. Good luck to you
