    4 month checkup

Today I had my 4 month post surgery checkup. I am no longer in the obese category! Per my doc’s PA I have lost 62% of my excess weight. She said that their goal for all patients is to make it under a bmi of 30 and I am now 28.73. Woohoo for just being overweight!! Can’t wait to see what month 5 brings along with the new year. Let’s do this!! [emoji851][emoji1392][emoji1322]‍♀️[emoji322][emoji323]

    Weight loss buddy/crew

Hi my name is sandy from NJ and I have decided to do the gastric sleeve. I have already met with my nutritionist and have 3 more left. Hopefully there are people out there that plan on doing the surgery or have done it...so let’s be buddies and fight the same psychological & physical battle.

You are losing more than normal. My dietician said to plan on 1 to 2 pounds a week. You are doing much more than that. This is a marathon not a sprint. How much would you be losing without the surgery?

It depends on your insurance. I couldn't drop below a bmi of 35 or I'd be denied. Sent from my XT1254 using BariatricPal mobile app

    POST-OP QUESTION

Yes, it is fluids from the hospital. You need to really push to be getting in your 64oz fluids each day. Congrats on your surgery, and welcome to the losers' bench!

Hey Sandy, this is my first post. Although I've been involved with this process since last summer this is my first attempt at connecting with the community. Good luck with your journey! Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

So, you're moving toward lifetime disability with young kids? I think its very reasonable for your wife to be angry and/or disappointed -- not abusive, but angry. I say get counseling and hope for the best. The marriages that work best seem to be where spouses contribute equally, or there's a stay-home understanding/agreement.

    November surgery

Hey, I'm having surgery on Monday. Any other November surgeries out there? I need to find a Facebook group to join but I have been off of FB for two years. Thanks!
