    Diabetics (cure or reduce?)

I was being treated with Janumet and was getting close to needing insulin. I had to stop the meds the day before surgery. I had the bypass on Aug 10th and never went back on them. My blood sugar has been under control for 11 weeks. I thought it might change once I was back on solid food but it's still in remission which is what the surgeon called it. So I'm almost done with the blended/pureed part of my diet progression back to solids. Thankfully, I really haven't needed to blend much of anything. As long as I stick to the foods I'm allowed to have during this 2wk phase, and chew to it's basically pureed before I swallow, I've had no issues. MUCH more palatable than actually blending everything up lol. Looking forward to the soft foods starting this weekend! I'll still be chewing to a pulp before swallowing (basically forever on that), but at least I can start to introduce more foods into my diet again. REALLY looking forward to some fish, been soooo long!

    Help me pls !! [emoji24][emoji24]

Take away 1 shake and add more veggies. Drink water water water and do HITT cardio 3 out of the 5 days. If you don't have a gym membership then walk for 3 min and run as fast as you can for 10 seconds. Do this in intervals for 30 min. Do this for 1 week and I bet the scale moves [emoji6] Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Egg Drop Soup

I agree correct answers are important. That’s why she should ask her surgeon. And, various surgeons may have various answers. My surgeon told me the information so I shared it. And yes WATER is absorbed quickly and water not absorbed moves through the digestive track. Too much water may cause toxification-rare but possible. But we are not talking about pure water in the question. Egg drop soup has solid food particles and the “soup” is the liquid membrane of an egg. But I have no desire to mince words about it or compare your MBA to my PhD or elaborate on my 10 years of Air Force service. Not sure why you felt that necessary. I will follow my doctor’s instructions, you follow yours. I’m done here.

Have to attend a wedding 4weeks post op

I had to attend a formal dinner/ fundraiser for works 2 weeks post op. I was liquid only at the time. I had a shake on the way there. Then during dinner, I stepped away for about 20 mins. It was easier to excuse myself rather than sit at a table and have to explain why I didn't touch the food. Return in time for the festivities. No one noticed as they were all too busy socializing. Good luck
