    64oz A Day, Really?????

My nut says no need to space water/liquids and your liquid protein out. So no waiting 30minutes pre and post meals since it is all liquids. But when you start any kind of solids then the spacing has to happen. I think @Berry78's plan sounds solid if it was me. There's no rush to advance the diet and we all heal differently at different rates. ((hugs)) and hang in there. It's supposed to improve daily!

I'm 2 1/2 years post op and just hit 100 pounds of weight loss. It's been a long slow road but at least the scale has gone in the right direction. I still have 71 pounds to go. I'm wondering if anybody has some jumpstarting tips or even pearls of wisdom for me. I need to get some more of this weight off before I lose my mind. Thank you!

    post op sweats

I too was also sleeved on Halloween and have been getting sweats every now and then and would love to know what is causing them. I also would love to know how some people survived the post op liquid stages of the diet. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. I have always been one that loves to eat good food and sweets and it's a very hard battle staying away from all of the stuff I liked to eat.

    Help me pls !! [emoji24][emoji24]

Make sure you are drinking enough water or liquids. If water is hard to drink try crystal light lemonade. Make sure you are at least walking every day if not exercising. Also make sure if you are eating it is the majority of protein in your diet, and definitely don’t go over your calorie restriction. My group of buddies was told to intake 60 grams of protein a day. The only other thing is you can become “backed up” even though you have not been eating a lot. So, miralax or the generic is what doctors recommend, just to follow the directions. Hope that helps! Good luck.

    Regretting my surgery.

Rose, I would go back to |Therapy for the depression and regretting having the sleeve. Im sure at your age dear it seems like forever that you are having to hold things down as you are. But in fact you are setting the base for your future for a healthier life, Not just for your body inside and out but for your Mental state as well. Please do not regret this surgery. I just came out of Gastric bypass October 3rd myself. I was like 2 lbs smaller then you when I started this and now im down to 230 pounds. Im glad you chose the sleeve over the band. I had the band and boy did it ever fail. Your not much taller then I am either and our goals are the same for the weight. So please, seek out the theropy that will work the best for you, keep your head up and continue your weight loss. Use your book (phases) as your bible and your work out place as your church and be faith full to yourself.

I was debating whether or not to sign up for one, but I asked if my sister wanted to do one with me and she and my brother in law both were interested, so I decided to go for it. I'm excited! I have been running more lately and I already pretty much do 5Ks every time I run, but I haven't done an actual "race" since I was 14. When I registered, the application asked if I had an inspiring story, so I said that I was once 400 pounds after battling a decade-long depression, but have now beat depression and lost 180 pounds.

It sounds like you've created a story about why you can't lose weight: "It's SO confusing! Might as well not even try! I'll end up a failure anyway!" Doctor's orders - like so much in life - is open to interpretation. Should you get 60, 80, or 100 grams of protein daily? The exact number doesn't matter. Get between 60-100 grams & you'll be good. Consider how else this story is impacting your life & really learn to flip the script to achieve a different outcome. You are not alone. Good luck!
