1 pointCertain times right after eating, I notice my face will flush for a while. I should write down what I consumed before having that happen and see if there is a pattern. So.. for you, it could be the same way..something you are consuming. Or it could be hormones. But, your pouch was fashioned out of your own stomach (unless your surgeon clearly said otherwise), so although it has to heal, there is no foreign body except your staples and suture material.

I'm in the process of. Started sept 15, I have a band still and am doing it all in one surgery. I had complete a bunch of tests echo, endo, ultrasounds,xrays barium swallow. And more and labs , 1 nutrtion, 1 psy and a medical diet plan. I also need to lise 20% of my body weight. I go for a follow up October 27. 16 days out from vsg left shoulder pain

I experienced the pain on my chest and not my shoulder, they did tell me it’s Bc of the Gas that was used for the surgery but the Gas went away little by little after drinking Gas X. That helped me out a lot! It took me about a week in a half to have the pain away. I had hard time farting it out but I would burp it out. Try Gas X. -

Lapband to sleeve revision done oct 3

Hi Timarland, I totally understand where you are at. I had the lapband for 14.5 years until my revision this week. I was surprised how short the stay was in the hospital. I checked in at 9:30 am on Tuesday and surgery was at 11:30 am. I stayed one night and the let me go home at 7:30 am the next day. It has been so different from the lapband and so far I love it.:) -

Weight gain after surgery

The weight gain is from IV fluids they gave you in the hospital. It'll go down over the first week or two. The "waves" are stomach spasms. Very common.
