    Weight loss rate with pcos

I have PCOS, but had the RNY. My weightloss has been excellent. At 3 months out, I have already lost 47% of my excess body weight. My endocrinologist was very pleased and my hormone levels, A1C are at goal. HW-292 • SW (6/29/17) 256.6 • CW 207.4

    Want lapband out

I just recently had a lapband to sleeve revision done, all in one surgery. The lapband was a huge waste of time and money for me. I had it in for 7 years and I'm so glad to be rid of it and actually on the way to a healthier me.

    The Longest Stallllllll

Take your measurements and use them to track changes. Also, make sure to try to make your fluid goals and protein goals. Your body needs both to lose weight.

    The Longest Stallllllll

Your body is still healing from surgery. I don't think it's a stall, rather your body adjusting to the changes. Sent from my Z981 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Any bedside nurses here?

Please...3 months is rabid overkill, especially for a sleeve, band, or bypass. These are simple, minimally-invasive laporascopic surgeries. My sleeve was a same-day procedure: I was operated on in the morning and sent home that night. Those with no complications and sedentary jobs often return to work in 1 week. Those with complications, slower healing, and/or laborious jobs usually return to work in 2 to 4 weeks. But 3 months (12 whopping weeks)? The bariatric coordinator who said that is living in La La Land among the ivory towers and unicorns who fart rainbows.

Hi Timarland, I totally understand where you are at. I had the lapband for 14.5 years until my revision this week. I was surprised how short the stay was in the hospital. I checked in at 9:30 am on Tuesday and surgery was at 11:30 am. I stayed one night and the let me go home at 7:30 am the next day. It has been so different from the lapband and so far I love it.:)

    Mudruns and Crossfit

Yup! I'm four years out. Have done two full marathons, countless halls and tri's... a bunch of Ragnar relays and a couple of Spartans! You can totally do it! I can gulp plenty of water and fuel appropriately. Not a problem!

My MiL and SiL were approved at the same time, though, I couldn't tell you what insurance they have in NY. I know my MiL's BMI was 40+ with no comorbidities and my SiL was under 40 with comorbities. Sent from my SM-G930V using the BariatricPal App
