I’m so sorry that you are dealing with this. How stressful. [emoji25]. Have you thought about changing pcps (again) I don’t what kind of doctor says I’m going to ruin your day, drop a bomb on you and then leave you hanging. It’s your right to get a second opinion. I hope everything turns out ok 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@chris1985 hey dude/aka newbie!!! I agree @Diana_in_Philly - eating too fast is very bad. you must slllllow it down. chew into small bites, THEN swallow. No gulping allowed!! (people have been shot for less!!) use small (baby) utensils, that will help FORCE you to eat slowly. put utensil down between bites. then start again with eating. DON'T drink any water while you are eating anything! don't drink 30 minutes before you eat, then wait 30 minutes after you eat til you drink. find a support group in your area. (doc should help you/or office) maybe you could make a friend, then you can help each other. this board is very helpful, informative. continue to ask your questions, you'll there are bariatric books with recipes too. one example is Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook for Dummies lots of information on various web sites!! KNOWLEDGE is POWER!! Good luck - kathy

    Phase 3

a pressure cooker is also a good way to cook meats so they're tender and you end up with broth, too. Before surgery, I made hot beefs with a small roast, onions and peppers, and portioned it with the broth into small containers. I did something similar with a chicken. They've been a real help! Cramping/constipation relief

A warm cup of Smooth Move Tea made by Traditional Medicine works great! It was recommended by the head of the bariatric program at the hospital I went to.

    3 denials and finally approved!

My denials were due to paperwork basicially. Initially i was told the documentation submitted didnt show medical necessity for the removal of my band not that I followed the post op diet and recommendations for the lap band. Next it was because they thought it had been removed in July when in fact it was just totally deflated in July. The peer to peer was denied too, but I never found out why and the last appeal was finally approved! My surgery date is March 14TH!!!!
