Day 3 on this pre-op diet

Carb withdrawal. ((hugs)) Drink lots of water. Maybe take a calcium/magnesium supplement before sleep and that might help you relax. At least that's what I do...

    3 weeks away

I’m a little over 3 weeks away from surgery and trying to prepare. What kind of vitamins did everyone like best? What did you eat in the liquid phase post op? What about purees? I’m a bit of an OCD planned and starting to panic a bit because I don’t have anything prepared.

    Got a surgery date!!

Hey hey. Just found out this morning that I got a surgery date. 10/9/17!! I'm super excited. I started my liquid diet yesterday because I received my insurance letter on Sat with an inpatient date of 9/28. When I spoke to the scheduler she said they had to put an arbitrary date for insurance but will call them and update it. I can't wait to be on the losers bench. I'm staying positive that these next two weeks on liquid only will fly by. Question...are we allowed to chew sugar-free gum during the liquid diet?? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thx

    Anyone Near Danville, PA?

Hi Memabock, I'm not sure where Coudersport is, I've heard of it, but not a clue where it is. You're doing great! I'm stuck between 233 & 236, which means I'm most likely losing in size again. I went from a 3x nightshirt to a Lg/xlg nightshirt. Hubby is really proud of me! Honestly I can't remember the last time that I was at this weight. I look forward to my 1st big goal which is 199. The last time I was that weight was in 1996 when I found out that I was pregnant with my son.

Looking for a Local Support Group

Hi Trixie, I am 4 years out and not happy with my slow continuous weight gain. One of the active Lap Band support groups would be Dr. Fowler at Castle Hospital. His people used to post a lot on this website but have since petered out. I had my band done by Dr. Lapschies at Queens's, but I don't think they have a support group any more. If you ever want to walk, especially on Sunday's, give me a call. I am always looking for people and places to walk. My cell phone# is 383-3820 or my work phone is 971-7199. Aloha, Paula Aurio P.S. also try ObesityHelp.com, the Hawaii State forum. They get more input than this board lately.
