I'm trying not to get discouraged

1 I am making a pledge to myself that I will NOT allow myself to get discouraged over how long it seems to be taking to get a surgery , I am going to keep going! 2. I am going to take a before picture and weight prior to my surgery and then not weigh myself until the same date the next month. 3. I am going to take a before picture and weight prior to my surgery, and then I will not weigh myself until my first month anniversary, second anniversary, etc. 4. I am going to celebrate every small victory with a non food related prize, such as a new shirt, new purse, etc (any reason to buy a purse is a good reason!) 5. I am going to do everything the docs tell me to do so that I have the BEST chance at success. I have had too many failures in my life and I'm ready for a win! 6. I am going to keep journaling my emotions, challenges and victories as an outlet. FEEL FREE TO GIVE THIS ROOKIE ANY IDEA THAT YOU HAVE LEARNED AND I'M GOING TO HANG THEM ON MY FRIDGE, MY BATHROOM WALL, MY BEDROOM, ETC. I NEED YOUR GREAT IDEAS AND ENCOURAGEMENT ON THE BEST WAY TO SUCCEED IN THIS DIFFICULT JOURNEY!!

I am 5 weeks post op and starting to feel really good about myself again. I 24. As a young woman, I always had curves but they were all in the right places but about 10 yrs ago, it became harder and harder to loose weight and the old tricks(including diet pills) became less effective. About 4 yrs ago I was diagnosed with a begin pituitary tumor which caused my body to produce excess amounts of prolactin(hyperolactinemia). Essentially your body thinks your pregnant. Even though the condition became controlled with medicine. Losing weight remained an issue and I slowly creeped up from 185 to 214over 4 years and just couldnt get out of the 200s. Fast forward to today, I'm down 18 pounds post op and starting to notice results. I attended an anniversary party yesterday and was able to wear a medium. I bought the same dress earlier this summer but needed an extra large. And at the dinner and in general I'm able to skip past the rice, pasta and potatoes and make those healthy choices of baked chicken or fish and veggies and salads etc. And its not hard; it has become a way of life for me that I have been able to embrace. So excited about what my new weight lose journey will bring! I know it will take time but I really feel like I can do it[emoji5] Sleeved 8/10/17 HT: 5'2 HW: 214 SW: 212 CW: 194 Goal: 155

Thanks for the replies. That's what I was thinking. Just hope it is all approved in time for the surgery date. I called my insurance co and they said approval time is 72 hrs so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly. I'm ready! [emoji2]

CELEBRATE has a capsule vitamin, which you could open them and sprinkle them in something you are eating. When I first had my RNY I was told to use CENTRUM CHEWABLES. They are fruit flavored and kind of reminded me of a gumball. I had to change vitamins because they tasted too sweet to me, hubby loved them. Different strokes for different people I guess. My Surgeon was the one that told me to use the capsules sprinkled on something that I was eating.

9/12 - Went to the trainer to new a training regiment. The first was just cardio and light lifting to get me smaller and my body to be a lot more flexible. Now, is the real stuff. I have a HIIT workout 3 days out of the week. Heavy cardio of 30/30 for 45 minutes and a light elliptical day. Monday: HIIT Tuesday: 30/30 Cardio Wednesday: HIIT Thursday: Light Elliptical Friday: HIIT She says now its time to get to the real stuff. She knows that I want my body to look like and she created this to start me off. I have 4 weeks of it. She also added room to modify the work out if I am really hurting to do one less set. I am just so excited. This a work out that she does but her's is way more intense and done a faster pace. Will be increasing my calorie intake from 775 to 1000 calories on these HIIT days. I will need to make sure that I am eating enough to sustain my body. 9/17 - My mom decided to buy me a Pandora Bracelet. Lol she was not prepare for the cost of it and told me, "Happy Birthmas" lol. She told me to add charms and numbers for every goal I achieved. She told me she was proud of me and was so happy for all my hard work.

Sorry that you are feeling this way. You have already done the hardest part, making the decision to get surgery. After you have this surgery, you will have better quality of life. It is common for some people to start second guessing their decision but stay strong. Could it be your husband's decision is because of some fears since you have never had surgery? You seem to have a strong support system with your family. To share my experience, I was sleeved July 28, 2017. I haven't thrown up even 1 day. I had pain up to 2 days post op that's all. With social gatherings, I am finishing my soft phase. I don't go out when I was on purée but now when I eat at social gatherings, I just what I can eat. I feel full afterwards and don't even crave for food . Your stomach will teach you. Hope all goes well for you.

    Tomorrow is the day

Tomorrow is my surgery day, and I am super nervous. Not really sure why, I have had surgery before. I think most of it is because I remember what the gas pain is like. I had my galbladder out and it was the one thing about pain that really stands out to me. I am also concerned about what life will be like after surgery. I of course want to make the change or I wouldn't be doing it, but regardless of that life will now be completely different. I am very much looking forward to feeling better. I already do just being on the liquid diet. I am also looking forward to being able to do things that are very difficult for me right now. Like hiking, sight seeing, traveling, just living day to day. I know that life is going to be much better, and that is what I want. Not to mention the health factors that go with it. I have never been too much into caring about the how I will look part, but I have to admit recently, over the last few days, I have been thinking about what it will be like to fit into clothes that I have not ever fit it. What it will be like to wear my husbands t-shirts and sweats if I want. I am looking forward to that. I am also looking forward to cute clothes. Anyway, I may update again before tomorrow, if not I will see y'all on the other side!
