9/12 - Went to the trainer to new a training regiment. The first was just cardio and light lifting to get me smaller and my body to be a lot more flexible. Now, is the real stuff. I have a HIIT workout 3 days out of the week. Heavy cardio of 30/30 for 45 minutes and a light elliptical day. Monday: HIIT Tuesday: 30/30 Cardio Wednesday: HIIT Thursday: Light Elliptical Friday: HIIT She says now its time to get to the real stuff. She knows that I want my body to look like and she created this to start me off. I have 4 weeks of it. She also added room to modify the work out if I am really hurting to do one less set. I am just so excited. This a work out that she does but her's is way more intense and done a faster pace. Will be increasing my calorie intake from 775 to 1000 calories on these HIIT days. I will need to make sure that I am eating enough to sustain my body. 9/17 - My mom decided to buy me a Pandora Bracelet. Lol she was not prepare for the cost of it and told me, "Happy Birthmas" lol. She told me to add charms and numbers for every goal I achieved. She told me she was proud of me and was so happy for all my hard work.

    VSG ???

Hello, My weight on Nov 14, 2016 (the day of surgery) was 306. I am currently at 209 pounds and it's been 10 months since my sleeve surgery. Last month I lost almost 15 pounds. I am 5'7" and 46 years old. My doctor says he expects me to reach 160 pounds at around the 2 year mark. So I sould continue to lose weight even though the rate at which I lose it will slow. I am thrilled with the weight loss and if I didn't lose anymore, I would actually be okay with that.

    Fell off the walking wagon

I second the suggestion to get up early and do your workout. If I didn't run before work I am sure there would be many days where I just wouldn't feel like doing it after. It really does give me more energy and I feel so much better on the days I run.

Mine was outpatient. I actually handled it really well. Have you had abdominal surgery before? Maybe you had a lot of scar tissue? Sent from my SM-G900V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sleeved 9/1.

I was sleeved a few days ago, and currently have zero desire to eat! I'm on full liquids now, so I am sticking to the premier protein shakes. I'm really surprised at how good I am feeling. I hope it lasts!

    Sleeved 9/1.

I do experience hunger. But some liquids seem to quench it now. Most of all, many of my cravings have calmed down. My biggest challenge will be this weekend. High school football Friday. Then Saturday going to watch my daughter March in her college marching band. I will be wanting some nachos so bad!

    Can you say hypocrite??

There is a support group called overeaters anonymous. Check out their website to see if it sounds interesting for you. https://oa.org Congrats on trying to get a handle on the behavior aspect. I do urge you to think big-picture with your dietary/weight goals. The average sleeve patient loses 65% of their excess weight. That would be you at 205lbs. So you actually did a bit better than average. The 10 pound "rebound" is also perfectly typical. Congrats on having a successful surgical outcome! Since your weight has been relatively steady for 9 months, you know that you are at or near your new set point. Your newly found desire to get back on the wagon is probably due to you being a few pounds above your set point, so you'll find dropping those first pounds almost effortless. Now, how does your 200lb set point affect you? Well, as much as you'll WANT to drop another 50lbs, your body won't want to, so you'll have a fight on your hands. If you want to fight, that's fine. No problem. But keep in mind that whatever you do to shed more weight, you'll need to keep it up long term. Otherwise it's just another diet like preop and back to the yoyo game. By all means.. do your pouch reset for 5 days.. but when you restart your normal diet, you need to have durability in mind.

well, I just don't crave some of the junk I wanted before. fried food doesn't feel real good in my stomach, even if I take the coating off - so that is a no go, and I find I really want the lean Protein and veg. before I would eat huge quantities of foods. now if I do have something (say it's someones birthday and I take a slice of cake) I might have a bite or two and not even finish the piece. before I'd have had a piece and if asked to take some home I would have said yes please. it's a whole different world. for me, I used to be diabetic, and I think the diabetes drives a desire for simple carbs - and with that gone and normal blood sugars I just don't feel the love for it anymore. it feels great to have normal blood sugar all the time. as for chocolate, when I want the chocolate - I have a Protein shake I like a really lot and a triple chocolate power crunch protein bar. so, there are some things you find an alternative that meets with your nutritional goals. as a bonus my chronically too thin teenage daughter likes them, and will often share an extra large protein shake with me on the way to school/work so she is getting some extra nutrition, protein and calories too. better than her picking up my old coca cola habit!
