    6 weeks out+baby back ribs=DUMP

Wow. So I'm 6 weeks out and grilled some killer baby back ribs thinking that because they are soft I would be okay... WRONG. Not more than 5 bites into it I start feeling sick. Then the terrible pain starts. So I'm outside waiting for the inevitable and here it comes. Barfed and dry heaved a few times and then proceeded to go back inside and barf another 3 times. I thought I was in the clear from dumping but apparently not so be careful and once it happens you will pray it never happens again LoL.

    Donating Blood Post-Op

I don't think you would be able to eat enough calories to get your strength back and not feel light headed before the 1 year mark. Maybe 9 months. It definitely shouldn't be something you try before you can eat 1200 calories a day at least, every day. Still this is a question best reserved for your Dr.

    PRE-OP

I am 3 weeks post, I buy as I go because after surgery things taste different. I wouldn't stock up too much... you may find that you can't stand some things you liked prior to surgery. Band to SIPS/SA-DI/LOOP DS 8.8.17 HT: 5'6ish HW: 242 SW: 226 CW: 208 GW: Healthy

How to push through liquid phase

Yes, you can do this. As long as it's thin and lump-free, it should work. I know it's hard, but take it one day at a time, and before you know it you'll be on a normal diet, and this will all be a distant memory!

    Question for >1 year sleevers!

Toasted bread goes down easier. Around a year I could sometimes eat a sandwich. At 7 years I can eat one, but it's still my entire meal. I'd say the sleeve, for me, reached it's full capacity at a year. At around 3-4 years out I was able to tolerate larger portions of pasta and grains, that's the only change. I'm 7 years out. Cheri

I'm keeping everyone in Southeast Texas in my thoughts..... Although I'm in North Texas, the residual storm effects (torrential rain, winds, lighter flooding) have been happening here. We're all going to need to pull together to address the devastation. Again, I'll be thinking of the affected residents of the Texas Gulf Coast.

I feel like I could make such a huge list, but I'll share some of my top picks: My husband to be able to pick me up Go horseback riding again Fit on roller coasters again Comfortably fit in an airplane seat and lower the tray Be more adventurous in the sack Shop at 'normal people' stores for clothes Run farther distances without my hips hurting

So here I am at one week post op and feeling great. Even the gas problems disappeared. Yesterday and today I got back into my 30 minute walk routine feels great. Tried on some clothes I wore to work end of June and they don't fit! Probably because of the 40 pounds I lost pre op. But either way best decision I've made in a long time.

Haven't been here for a while.. So let me catch you all up. As you all know I lost my band in March. Still hanging around 150... but I do need to get to the gym. Still in the 4-6 size jeans... I quit my job in Houma and moved to Madison, Ms. Wasn't expecting to get a job so quick. Went on Three interviews on a Friday and got Three job offers. So I took the best one for me.

    50 pounds gone!

Hello to everyone (pre/post, band/vsg/rny)! Had my sleeve done in Philadelphia on March 2, 2017. It was done at Temple University Hospital by Dr. Michael Edwards. I've been fortunate enough not to have experienced any problems/complications. It is now 4 months & 4 days after my surgery; I'm happy to say I'm down 50 pounds! I began this journey back in June 2016 and weighed 220 pounds.....today I weigh 170.0 pounds!!! YEA ME!!! (Still have more to lose, but YEA ME!!!!!)[emoji4] [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G935P using BariatricPal mobile app
