I would wait. Carbs are calorie laden and they aren't filling. Also, since surgery, noodles and pasta are kind of gross and pasty tasting for me. So it was an easy transition.

I think getting the vitamins and water under control longterm is extremely important. Protein you can get from food (and you mention eating lots of meat, so thats a good protein source). But long term malnutrition and anemia are serious concerns. Is it possible youre overeating and stretching the pouch ? Maybe more frequent smaller meals or that kind of thing could help. Eitherway its probably a good idea to see your surgeon, afterall theyre there to help you

    HURRICANE HARVEY MUNCHIES

Since we are stuck in the house i feel so snacky... Even though it's only been nuts and some hummus chips, I still feel like I've been eating more..... It may be boredom, it may be nerves because we don't know what the next few days hold AND because our city is suffering tremendously and I feel helpless.... Please Pray for our city and for everyone in it..... Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Question for >1 year sleevers!

Toasted bread goes down easier. Around a year I could sometimes eat a sandwich. At 7 years I can eat one, but it's still my entire meal. I'd say the sleeve, for me, reached it's full capacity at a year. At around 3-4 years out I was able to tolerate larger portions of pasta and grains, that's the only change. I'm 7 years out. Cheri

    Stomach Stretching is a Myth

@dreamingsmall it does stretch. But it's supposed to. You have to watch the videos for a full answer. They have scoped (camera down the throat into the stomach) WLS patients and found that sleeve size really has no effect on weight regain. Everyone's pouch stretches in time, it's the diet and activity level that will create lasting change. He also has a video on re-sleeving and revision procedures. Research shows that these revision surgeries (including the re-sleeve) end up with minimal results. He calls WLS a "one-time restart button" and emphasizes that we must be ready to make change and do the mental work because we get one shot at this.

I'm keeping everyone in Southeast Texas in my thoughts..... Although I'm in North Texas, the residual storm effects (torrential rain, winds, lighter flooding) have been happening here. We're all going to need to pull together to address the devastation. Again, I'll be thinking of the affected residents of the Texas Gulf Coast.

My surgeon told me it can be irregular for at least 3 months post op. If you're really worried, it's always a good idea to call your surgeon's office or your obgyn's office. Even if someone tells me everything is fine, I'd rather have an answer than be worried.
