8 weeks post vsg What are you eating?

Niagragirl: My doctor said that as long as I hit my protein goals -don't worry about the calories. Right now I couldn't physically consume enough to get to 1000 --- unless I was eating junk like milkshakes, etc. I would focus on getting your protein in for now. ZinNH: At 8 weeks you will be able to eat just about anything, just smaller quantities. Turkey will be on plan, just have a strategy for how to deal. I'm been out to eat with friends who don't know about the surgery... So far, my experience has been that people are so engrossed in conversation that no one notices that I'm eating differently.

    What should I do ? ...

Call after August 7 - give the scheduler a day to get back in the office, listen to the 700 voicemails and emails and start to respond and then give a call on the 8th. If you're lucky, s/he will answer the phone and say, oh, I was just about to call you. . . . .

My surgeon didn't place me on clear fluids before or after, just full liquids for a day before surgery and 2 weeks post, then on to puréed for 2 weeks and then mechanical soft, whatever that is. I was sleeved on 2nd too! Hope your recovery is going well. Mine is good but I'm kinda bored. I did try Unjury cream of chicken soup flavor protein and it's awesome! A very nice change from sweetness.

    Tylenol?

At 3months, tablets should be fine. Tylenol is best. NSAIDs like Advil can cause stomach irrataion long term.

    Stalling

Same thing here. RNY 7-12-17 losing a # each day, now stalled. I figure its part of the process so I need to up my exercise each day and since I am also eating "food" now instead of shakes, I will start dropping again when the body is ready. I am going to continue to weigh myself just for tracking purposes. Not worried as I am sure I will continue to lose!
