If you weren't nervous you wouldn't be normal We all have that fear of the unknown and worse case scenario!! I promise you'll come home and be happy it's over.. and onto a better healthier life.. I had a really complicated surgery, and losts of recovery issues (I was revised from band to sleeve with a TON of scar tissue...) and I would still do it again!

    Alcohol after Sleeve

I can not respond as an experienced person. Only from what I have learned from friends and other forum members. A few things: 1) Say goodbye to beer (carbonation) 2) You can drink after you heal, but expect to sip spirits watered down (non carbonated drinks, water/crystal light). 3) You should sip on this one drink as you will not be able to drink like you used to. You will get drunk MUCH quicker than before.

    Food Cravings

Cravings for a particular food are mental. Hunger will be satisfied by anything including your protein shakes. Are you on a protein pump inhibitor for acid? It can mimic hunger causing gnawing empty sensations

    Surgery completed 8/1/17

I was scheduled for Surgery August 1,i was super nervous and excited, i was so nervous i thought about canceling surgery, my family had came in town to support me, i knew i couldn't cancel, getting support from this site has helped tremendously, when you have support makes a big difference, surgery went quickly i had vsg/hernia repair, surgery lasted 45 minutes, i had alot of gas pain first day of surgery, i walked alot, that really helped,i couldnt sleep in bed, i slept sitting up in chair, im so happy i had surgery, the sky is the limit,i will definitely follow my nutritional guidelines, i will be a fool not too, Good Luck August Sleevers..
