    2 months & 11 days post op

55.4lbs gone! Started at 250lbs & 5'8 I'm down to 194.6. Would like to hit 170 and then decide from there if I'd like to go any farther. Couldn't be happier though! All of the stalls are so worth it.

    Im freaking out !!!

There was a research study that peppermint oil was as effective as minoxidil (rogaine) for hair regrowth and more effective at stimulating the growth phase. Hair follicles changes phase every three months from active to resting. You can make a spray with 10 drops of essential peppermint oil with a carrier oil such as almond, jojoba, coconut etc and massage it in, leave in overnight and wash out or add it to leave-in conditioner. I am going to start using this now, three months before surgery. It can't hurt at any rate.

This was a post about switching surgeons at the last minute. They had gone through everything and were waiting on insurance approval, but they found another hospital a few hours away with more surgeries per year and fewer complications and wanted advice on if they should switch and how to do it. Not sure why that merited a delete! *shrug*

Yes, this happens to me. They also get squished when I cross my legs. But I must say the bony butt is the most uncomfortable at this point.

I had more of a problem on the pre-op liquid diet and I did this- I loved it (it tasted like actual food to me) and it worked great (it was my own idea), but my NUT warned not to do this after the sleeve because the pressure might not be good. I take milk of magnesia fairly regularly but to be honest haven't had much of a problem since surgery (knock on wood). Others have said Mirolax is better- I will use that once I use up the MOM I have. Good luck- constipation sucks!

It took me 4 months to lose 40 pounds, yet I'm not griping. Your weight loss journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Slow and steady wins the race, while fast and crass won't last. The final result is more important than the speed at which we lose the weight. I've lost 100 pounds, attained my goal weight, and have managed to keep the weight off. That's what's important. Good luck to you.
