    50 pounds gone!

Hello to everyone (pre/post, band/vsg/rny)! Had my sleeve done in Philadelphia on March 2, 2017. It was done at Temple University Hospital by Dr. Michael Edwards. I've been fortunate enough not to have experienced any problems/complications. It is now 4 months & 4 days after my surgery; I'm happy to say I'm down 50 pounds! I began this journey back in June 2016 and weighed 220 pounds.....today I weigh 170.0 pounds!!! YEA ME!!! (Still have more to lose, but YEA ME!!!!!)[emoji4] [emoji4] Sent from my SM-G935P using BariatricPal mobile app

100 lbs gone!! Now it's time to maintain.... a whole new challenge. But I'm up for it. Side note: I stayed at 147 lbs for 8 freaking weeks. Scale would not budge. Went to nutritionist and tweaked my daily meals just a bit and BAM, the last 8 lbs flew off!! The pics: first one is self explanatory! second one is me today third one is me BEFORE last one is me hiking last weekend.

Is it normal to feel this awkward?

Personally I don't feel awkward or embarrassed about the surgery at all, just the opposite. I am excited and I am ready to change. I feel awkward and embarrassed about my weight now.

Overall good. I'm on pureed food. that's been easy to eat. No real desire to eat. But catch myself eating fast. Need to slow down by time I move to next stage or will likely have problem. Find getting all meds down was difficult at start but now only on acid reduction med, my b12 and multivitatmin. Off pain killers. Walking. Pain in chest seems to have stopped 2 days ago.

    Any Sleeves In Florida?

I haven't been on in a while and just see this post regarding surgeons in South Florida. My surgeon is Dr. De La Cruz with University of Miami. I had my surgery Feb. 2014 and have lost 218 lbs! Words will not describe how amazing he and his team truly are. I went to see all, and I mean ALL of the main bariatric surgeons in Miami before I chose Dr. De la Cruz! They have taken EXCELLENT care of me! The hospital staff and nurses are top notch! Please do yourself a favor and schedule a consult and go to their seminar!
