    Going home!

Well they are getting my discharge papers ready now, so looks like I will be going home in the next hour or so! Surgery went well and I have exceeded my liquid requirements. Still have some pain and swelling ( gas) in my stomach but that is to be expected ! I'm ready to get started on my weight loss journey[emoji3]

    Surgery done June 21st.

Not at all what I expected, little discomfort but nothing I can't handle. I really wish I would of done it a long time ago. Sent from my N9519 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Cravings

If I was the type that could stop with one warm chocolate chip cookie I would say go for it... but I am not unless only one warm chocolate chip cookie was baked! There are protein chocolate chip cookies but I never had one

    Time off work

I took 2 weeks off. My doctor required a minimum of 1 week. I was sleeved 6/13 and will return to work on Monday. I feel good and really could have returned to work mid-week. Allow yourself a minimum of a full week...5 days would have been too soon, but at 7 days, I had significantly more energy.

    Baltimore, anyone?

Hi all I'm in MD right outside of DC. I'm scheduled for a gastric bypass 7/11. I'm about to start my liquid diet. It's getting real now. I can't wait to have a new beginning and healthy me.

    Baltimore, anyone?

I am in southern Maryland. I'm waiting on insurance approval. It seems to be taking forever.

    4 days post op

Shaines9,LL I, too, had my RNY on Tuesday, May 30th at 8:00AM at Howard University in Washington, DC. The surgeon was impressed with my recovery, etc., and released from hospital the next day around 6:00PM. My pain is very minimal as if I didn't have surgery. I started walking the same evening after surgery and have been walking ever since. I'm 48 years old, soon to be 49 years old September 11th. Hubby and walked around cul de sac yesterday evening and walked a few lapses at the track this morning. Then, rode around in our new ride running errands. I AM TRULY BLESSED AND FAVORED TO BE HEALING SO WELL. I have my one week follow-up appointment with the surgeon on Wednesday, June 7th at 1:00PM. I'm focusing on drinking 2 Premier Protein (30g) shakes, water, and sugar free pudding per day -- thus far, NO ISSUES -- Praise God. TeResa
