    New Job Opportunity

I applied and was hired as a high school teacher for this fall! I'm three months post-op and am very nervous about shopping for new clothes when the time comes. Also, my department eats lunch together, so I'm wondering how that will work out. I have to move to another state for this job, so I'll be alone for about 9 months before my family joins me. I'm so excited, scared, nervous, and happy!

    Alcohol?

Actually in my case your completely wrong. As previously posted my doctor gave me the go ahead and I tried it last night and was able to drink a small glass over an hours time with no adverse affects...

    Mood Swings

So I am 6 days post-op today. Surgery was done on 6/14. Im a Realtor, so I started working from home Sunday, 6/18. I am doing and feeling well overall but has anyone experienced mood swings after surgery? Like 1 minute I'm calm and the next, if someone says something that I don't agree with, I'll snap and say something to them. Then 5 minutes later I feel sorry for getting angry with them. I am also diagnosed with ADHD and not sure if my Adderall dosage needs to come down because my stomach is now smaller. Maybe that's it, I don't know. Let me know if any of you have experienced this. I would greatly appreciate it! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Newbie/Struggling to eat

Protein and water are clearly the most important. I don't know any tricks and I felt similar and just forced myself to do it (albeit very slowly). Your appetite picks up but I still don't have any hunger (thank god). I'd set a schedule and just commit to having X by Y. Good luck

    Alcohol?

Don't try it for the first time at your wedding! You don't want to feel sick on your special day! I am having surgery on Wednesday and know a couple of people who occasionly drink now after surgery but way after. I wouldn't risk it. Just have fun, plenty of time to drink later on!

    Salad anyone?

I'm betting after you have that first salad, you won't be craving them quite so much. Lettuce is not only nutritionally worthless, is will go right through you. Of course, if you are battling constipation that could be a good thing. Kale, arugula, and cabbage make a far healthier salad that will stick with you a little longer, are far more nutritional dense, and high enough in fiber to help keep you regular.

    Skinny Bucket List

Food isn't your best friend. It wasn't mine either. I love your list. You know that last one? "Love myself"? That's one you can start on right now. I remember looking in the mirror & hating my reflection. And that energy did nothing but make me feel worse. Don't beat yourself up. Please understand that food isn't your best friend - you are.
