    WHY am I so COLD?

Last night, I could not warm up. My BONES hurt so bad, I was so cold. I took a hot shower and was literally shivering standing under the hot water. I used to be the "hot one" in my office where I work and now I keep my vent covered and a sweater on. The a/c is only set on 74 but I am just freezing! I go for my next dr. appt this Friday and I will ask but wondering if any of you veterans have already had this question?

Baritastic is a tracking app made just for bariatric patients. I've been using it for a couple months now.

    Frustrated

You may be a smidge slower than average, but not bad. 10lbs a month after the first month or two seems to be average. I'm 3 months out today and am in a 2 week stall All part of the journey, I'm afraid...

    2 DAYSS

I'm just four weeks out and I can drink water easily. It's not forever for some of us. It was a huge concern for me. I used to be able to drink a half of a bottle at once and while I can't do that I can take three huge swallows with no pain as long as my stomach is empty. Can't wait to hear your journey!

Hi all! I don't know why I've never known about this forum! It's absolutely brilliant. I don't know any one else who has undergone weightloss surgery. In 2013 I paid private and took out a loan to undergo gastric band surgery aged 24. 4 years on all I do is vomit when I eat. I lost 4 stone quick with the band but now it's a mere 2 stone loss 4 years on. I am now post op for gastric sleeve surgery and your stories have really helped me decide on this! I Meet my surgeon tomorrow, and hopefully become a step closer to the right surgery for me.... wish me luck

    Another Stall Thread

My NUT told me that some people (mostly women) lose weight as if they are stepping down stairs (lose and then stay the same for a bit, then lose and then stay the same for a bit). Others lose like walking down a ramp (basically lose the same amount on average every week). For some reason this picture made perfect sense to me and has stuck in my head. I am for sure a stair stepper and it drives me nuts but I keep telling myself that it doesn't matter if you are stepping down stairs or walking down a ramp you'll eventually get to the bottom So it may not be a true stall but maybe just the flat part of the step. Hang in there!!

    Total Calories or Net Calories

Also keep in mind that studies have shown smart watch exercise tracking apps all overestimate calories burned. Some are worse than others.

    Salad anyone?

I eat a salad almost daily for lunch! LOVE the skinny girl fat/sugar free dressing! I switch back and forth between balsamic and raspberry vinaigrette! I also make sure to use a 50/50 spring mix/spinach salad mix. The spinach is a good source of iron!!

Thank you guys for all the feedback!! I'm definitely not drinking again until I hit 6 months post-op, if not longer. I've never been a big drinker but being young and around it so often it's definitely hard to say no. Bachelorette parties and weddings at least once every two months, living in New Orleans, being single and going on dates. You name it. But that's what this whole decision was about - a lifestyle change to say no to the way I was living
