    Rumours or truth?

    Missing a single day of vitamins is no big deal, but missing a month will likely leave some gaps in your nutrition. In my opinion, everyone on Earth, for the most part, need vitamins. Our food supply is wholey deficient. In the US, our vegetables only have 1/2 to 2/3 of the vitamin content that they did just 50 years ago. Which means we need to eat 1/3 to twice as much. No wonder we're all becoming obese!

    Absolutely, I was dropping lbs like it was my job then for like 3 days nothing and I was so upset. I just stuck with the program and weighed 2 days later and I had dropped 4lbs. I wouldn't consider 3 days a stall, but sounds like stalls do happen and it's just a part of the process. As you progress clearly important to follow the guidelines and track your consumption. I think you'll power through, don't be discouraged. I weigh every 3 or 4 days so I see bigger movements and weigh at the exact time everyday so it's comparable. After a few weeks of getting used to everything I couldn't be happier, total.game.changer! Good luck!

    YAY!! You are taking back and control of your life!! The decision to get out of your comfort zone is the beginning of something so WONDERFUL!! It isn't a quick fix r a "taking the easy way out." You will have to do the worj for sure. WLS is a TOOL we have to work with our tool to get where we want to be!! But let me tell you each and every step that you take, when you fall down, and get bacxk up YOU will be AMAZED when you get to your goal weight. I had my RNY July 2, 2013. I have kept 124's off for 3 and 1/2 years. I went below my goal weight and got to 117#'s. I thought it was all good my family were worried sick that I was losing to much and to fast. But now at 125#s, I feel great. I had lots of health problems and took 12 different meds plus I took 100units of Levermire 2 times a day now I am off all diabetic meds and only take 4 meds plus my vitamins!! That in its self is awesome!! You will be sucessful you are already setting your mind in the right place!! Good Luck and please keep us posted about your Journey also welcome to BARIATRICPAL.

    Can't win today

    Your are not a failure. It is probably really bad gas. I had the same issue and it was coming out of both ends at the same time. Try to walk as much as you can, that is what I did. The beginning is always hard. Do not expect to be able to drink much, small sips all day. I only was able to handle chewable vitamins for about 3 months. You should start feeling better in a couple of weeks. That was my major issue, gas and not being able to go to the bathroom. Once you are able to handle more, your bowels will come around . I had my surgery 11.9.16 was a size 22 I am now a size 8. I take miralax a scoop everyday in my morning protein shake. Just think of what you will look like when a couple of months. Try to keep you chin up, this shall pass. I look at myself in the mirror and do not even recognize myself.

    WORST TIME TRYING TO GET THIS DONE

    The issue is that the doctors need to know everything about your current level of health before they operate on you. I had no co-morbidities at all, but I had to have several tests and a medical clearance from my PCP (with more tests) before everything was finalized. That is just part of the process when going through insurance. (And, frankly, it is just good practice even if you were paying out of pocket. After all, we are talking about paying for a major surgery, not a new appliance. And I know that last time I bought a new dishwasher, I asked the salesperson about 100 questions before I committed to it...)

    I swim as a workout! I do 3km a week of laps. I'm two months out and lose an average of 3lb a week (with a surgery day BMI of 36). Swimming is great for me because it's very calming, it doesn't cause my body pain and I could do it at any weight, I don't feel like a sweaty overheated mess, and I'm able to measure my successes/growth. the best workout post surgery is the one you can enjoy and stick with. ANY form of exercise is going to be incredibly beneficial to your progress, overall health and quality of life, and your ability to maintain weight loss.

    What was your breaking point?
