    Food? A month post ip

I am a month post op and I cannot find food that I want to eat so I don't eat. I am tired of tuna chicken salmon so I just either have a protein chips, cookie, shake, or just liquids (like water, Powerade zero) chicken/vegetable broth, applesauce, sugar free jello, I even tried a pack of crackers, and tried a lunchable, & some watermelon NOTHING!!! Is satisfying me I mean I just don't want to eat wrong should I say.. so I guess my question is how did you guys eat a month post op(gastric bypass) I have lost 20 pounds this month and just trying to continue but as stated before don't want to take in nothing bad.

    Post op day 3

My first 2 days were rough. I just slept and hurt. I didn't have the gas pains, I was very achy. I drank nothing the first day and very little the 1st post-op day. My surgeon kept me a second day because of the poor fluid intake. I'm drinking more today. Water, gaterade, and protein powder with water. And liquid Norco.... I'm going to assume I can consider that a fluid...he he. Sent from my Moto G (4) using BariatricPal mobile app

Every time I have had surgery I let the anesthesiologist know that I get horrible nausea from anesthesia and they have always taken care of me. They give me 4 different meds in my IV to cover every thing that they can that could possibly cause my nausea. I can't take pain meds because I get so sick. Just make sure you tell them you are easily sick by meds and they will take care of you.

    MGB or RNY?

I really don't know anything about the MGB. One of the things I liked about the RNY was it's been around for a long time and there's a lot of data and research behind it. I didn't want to get a surgery that turned out to be the next lapband. That's not to say the MGB *is* - it may be a perfectly fine surgery - but I don't know anyone who's had it and I don't know how long it's been around.

    Weigh Gain

go back to the basics. Eat protein first, then non-starchy vegetables. Then if you have room, fruit or complex carbs (like grains). No drinking until at least 30 minutes after you eat. Weigh, measure, and log everything you put in your mouth. Unfortunately, it's the only way..
