    One week out

That's awesome, congrats on the great start. I'm a little over 5 weeks out and I don't know any tricks but as I'm sure you hear/read stick to your surgeons plan. Seems like a lot of trial and error on foods you can eat comfortably. Small bites and chew chew chew is legit, my stomach tells me right away when I don't do that. I really like cottage cheese with canned no sugar added peaches. To get water, i have a bottle with 64oz in it, so I know I have to drink that before the day is over. I use MyFitnessPal to log everything and focus on the amount of grams of Protein, Carbs and Fat and don't pay attention to the calories. One thing I've found is there is a delay in how full your stomach gets so go very slow, I ate a kids applesauce pouch while working and just sucked it down in 5 minutes with ~3 ounces and I though for sure it was going to come back up and was painful. Takes time for your stomach to tell you it's full. Not sure that helps but good luck!

    Six months on

Hw- 229 Surgery- 220 Current weight 148 Clothes have gone from a uk 20 to a uk 10/12 And the hard work? That's the stuff I've done in therapy. Food was a self destruct button: the work is in fixing what made me push it and of course, in not seeking other even more dangerous buttons. I love new me and I've forgiven and love old me - but she ain't coming back!

I vomited once and it really didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. I also had no gas pains and was off narcotics in a couple of days. Let them know if you feel nauseous and they'll medicate you for it.

I need inspiration surgery 5/2-17 vsg

I am 8 months post-op, have lost 203 pounds, and am 14 pounds from goal. I have completely re-defined my relationship with food, changed my life for the better, and positioned myself for a long, healthy life! The early weeks post-op are among the most difficult times in this journey. But it is more important than ever to follow your plan, meet your protein and water goals each day, exercise as you can, let your body heal, and stay off of the scale. Good luck!

    No Weight Loss

Google "three week stall." Right now, your body is desperately trying to heal. Stick to your plan, meet your protein and water goals, walk when you can, and stay off of the scale. The weight will eventually start coming off. And get used to the stalls. I have learned that nothing about post-op weight loss is linear. It is frustrating, I know, but if you just trust in the process and do exactly what you are supposed to do all of the time, you will be successful. Good luck!

I'm down 65 pounds since surgery

Just had my second weigh-in since surgery on 4/12/17 and I'm at 304 and I was 369 on day of surgery! It's been a journey but I'm looking forward to being under 300 pounds again

I would be lost without my food scale. I have one at home and one that I take with me when I have to travel for work.
