    If anything please WALK

I agree with you Mr feelgood. I started walking after my surgery first around the block, now I go to a park and do 6miles everyday. I love it!

    Hair loss

The hair loss is something you can't really prevent. It occurs due to a process called telogen effluvium. Bariatric surgery shocks our systems, resulting in temporary trauma to the hair follicles. Basically, the hair follicles go dormant for a while and the hair sheds. The hair shedding due to telogen effluvium usually starts at 3 to 4 months post-op and stops before the 1-year mark. Some swear that biotin supplementation and Progaine shampoo works. However, the only proven treatment is time and healing.

Nice honest story. Thanks for sharing. Broads on YouTube like to be dramatic for views. Period. Plus a lot of them are straight nuts. If you watch enough of their videos it is easy to figure out. Men have a stigma attached to looking weak, women don't. They whine and cry on YouTube and people baby them. The same thing happens here, people mess up and make themselves miserable with dumb choices and want other people to coddle them. I don't have a YouTube channel but I have a high pain tolerance. I had a baby, no pain meds, 10 pushes, no screaming (I wanted my baby born into a calm environment). I had VSG surgery, stopped taking pain meds as soon as I got home 28 hours later. Drove my car on day 3. Did everything for myself because I live alone. I had no complications, little pain (it just felt like I did 1000 crunches, I used to do 1000 crunches a day in HS so I know the feeling), and I was back to my regular life fairly rapidly. People that are happy and have few issues don't usually shout it, because no one cares and it also seems like you are bragging and rubbing it in to the people that are miserable. So the miserable people have the floor. I think you are going to do great long term. If you aren't already seeing a therapist you probably should. You might have an identity crisis once you aren't a Bear anymore and you have to figure out where you fit in your world after knowing your place for so long. BTW the Bears are my favorite

    POST-op LAP band - Day 2

Hi All So it is day 2 of post op surgery and boy, if someone would have told me I'd be in so much pain I may have reconsidered. I was hoping if you guys here could help out with any suggests or confidence that the pain I have now is normal. (Sore to sit up, barely take fluids without feeling tight in the chest area, feeling like I have intergestion. BandedBecks 23/1/17 Sent from my SM-N920I using the BariatricPal App

I hope it's normal because I was/am the same way. Except the first day because i was nauseous. We can't change overnight.

I feel the same way. I live on the second floor, so I go down to throw out my trash, walk to the end of my street and back which is a quarter of a city block, then back up my stairs. I'm exhausted by the time I get back.

I left because I was bullied and insulted and basically trolled upon. I wonder if others felt the same. [emoji53] there were some bad apples. I'm back because I want to help out newbies, share my experience, and help anyone struggling with maintenance.
