    4 month transformation!!!!

I'm officially down 60 pounds. Today is my 4 month sleeve anniversary. I can't believe i did it. 35 more until i hit my goal. I found out on this journey that i really love weight lifting and boxing. I also found out that healthy eating isn't as bad as i thought it would be. I'm loving my new lifestyle. I don't know why i didn't do this sooner.

Weight loss is an added bonus during pre-op, now matter how many or few lbs lost. It's all for your liver. Just follow your plan and it'll be fine.

I'm a tad frustrated that all the experts believes that every fat person or previous fat person has some type of emotional issue that can be fixed with counseling. What if you don't believe a counselor can fit you? I'm in the category of testing my sleeve after reaching goal. I am good about not introducing carbs back in my diet (other than an occasional tablespoon of pasta, which I adhere to), but I have tested my sleeve with red wine and often binge on soft caramels or chocolate). And its worse, when I step on the scale and do not see it go up. Sure I'd like to know why I would do this,..... food addiction, yep likely. Stress eater, definitely. But I do not see what a professional could do for me. I had a great and normal childhood, I have great responsible adult children; not so great relationships with men in general (yet nothing I can pinpoint), generally life is good. So I've read some recommended books that discuss why we eat, how to stop that behavior, etc. I know the lists of things to do to replace stress eating. Don't work for me. I'm nervous about my future with food. I will have my last appointment in a couple of months, with my surgeon and my nutritionist.

    Pre-Op Feelings

Yeah...my last weigh in was really depressing. My doctor showed me the graph and I almost immediately lost all of the weight the surgeon wanted me to lose...and then Ive been in the neighborhood of the same 5 pounds for the past 4 months..and she told me if Im not careful the same thing wi happen after surgery, I will lose alot of weight in the honeymoon phase and then level off and be stuck. That was really scary.

    Big Day Tomorrow!

I had mine on May 22 and I'm feeling pretty darn good. I am sore but no pain. Like I did crunches. The second night was rough but still manageable. I had some nausea and did throw up. Honestly I expected much worse. You'll be so thrilled when you have this behind you! Best wishes and let us know how you did!

There are some people that have lost that low and lower. It is just going to probably take you longer than a year. I was 358 on the day of surgery and I am 187 ish, right now. I'm hoping to hit 170 or 165 by the end of the year. I'm not sure if I really need to go that low before skin surgery, but I am going to try,

    Changed my surgeon

Gastric bypass is the surgery recommended for diabetic sufferers. In a lot of cases, patients normally stop taking diabetic meds the day of operation. Unfortunately I won't be as I've been suffering for over 20yrs from diabetes.

    Hey Beautiful.....

Walking down the street as usual with my earphones on ( u know, the fat blockers .. to fake like u didnt hear the fat commentaries ). Instead i walk past a really cute guy, much younger than me and i hear, hey beautiful. Of course, its not to me, my fat brain says. So i casually look over my shoulder to see who he's talking to.... wait a minute, holy crap, there's nobody behind me, wth, is he talking to me, huh??? So he must've seen the dumbfounded look on my face and says... you look beautiful in that dress. Awww, I smile, say thank u, wave and move on. Lol. HOLY CRAP, i just got a hey beautiful. .... she gets home, lol, shakes booty. [emoji126][emoji126][emoji126][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38] GASTRIC SLEEVE.. U ROCK. Hope you all have a great "hey beautiful" weekend. [emoji6]
