    36 but felt like 63...

I am 36 years old and a full-time single mother to a 4 year old and a 2 year old, (both girls). When I realized it was time to make a serious change is when I went to the doctor after my youngest turned one and I weighed more than I had when I checked in to the hospital to deliver her! I was so hopeless and embarrassed. I just felt like I was at my absolute rock-bottom. I am only 5' 0", so weighing over 220 at my heaviest just made everything so hard. I thought to myself, I am too young to feel this old. All I wanted to do was eat and sit on the couch watching t.v. I have two little girls looking at me for their example of what a woman is. I had recently left an abusive marriage because I wanted to set a good example, so it made sense for me to decide to get my health in-check and show them what a strong, independent, healthy woman is. It has been hard. I had to wean my youngest before I was quite ready and it wasn't easy trying to recover with two little ones, all alone. Some day though, they're going to see everything I did for them. 9 months ago I couldn't imagine running 200 feet. Today I pushed a double stroller and ran my first 5k! I ran the whole thing. I'm down to 184 after VSG April 12th at Kaiser. I got this. 😉

    Delicious!

Some of you may already have tried this, but this morning I threw in my magic bullet a Bananas and Cream Premier Protein shake, 3 teaspoons of Jif's peanut powder, and 2 teaspoons of Benefiber--and it was DELICIOUS. It's a nice changeup from the standard flavors I've been drinking for the last month.

    Nervous!!

I'm praying you have a fast recovery and very little pain. Belly buttons are over rated anyways.

If it helps, I don't think wild horses could make you go under the knife again after this one (Hugs) you are going to do great! I bet things will go better than last time since you aren't as heavy! And just think how much easier a time you'll have moving around once you're healed. Be prepared for your pubic area to be swollen for months afterwards because of the disruption to the vascular system (hinders drainage). Before the surgery, make sure you have a very reliable thermometer, and get in the habit of taking your temperature every day. That way you know what is normal for you. You need to monitor temps for a month after surgery. (it can take surprisingly long for infection to show up). Do you have someone that can take care of you and the house for a few weeks?

You'll notice the portion sizes aren't as crazy big as in America (though probably still too big for us). Have fun! RNY 14 April 2017 SW: 295 lb / 134 kg GW: 187 lb / 85 kg (I'll see when I get there)

    13 days ago I had a stomach.

Since you've been on liquids, I'd recommend your first solids are like pudding consistency. You will get full very quickly. My first thing I tried was blended up split pea soup. Was full after 2-3 spoonfuls.
