I'm also having a very hard time with the protien shakes. They want me to get 5 ensures down! Yea right! So I switched to unjury powder and fairlife milk. Much thinner and less sweet. I still have to push it down but it's much easier because I only have to have 3. 21 grams of protein in unjury...another 13 with the fairlife milk. Tomm I get to start pureed stage hopefully after a phone call with the nurse. I'm 10 days out.

I relate to this, a lot. I was always a people pleaser, never stood up for myself because I felt it was the only way to get people to like the fat me. It's taken a while but I have learned to be assertive, and not to undermine my own happiness by giving in to others. I am far from mean, but I am not the apologetic, submissive person who was always hiding her light and letting others shine. Counselling is a great option if the transition gets rocky. Best of luck!

    Feeling too well

Awwww thank you so much for your comments I really needed a reply like yours. I'm freaking out I feel like the surgery never took place. I too only get a discomfort when taking too big a drink. I too have followed my doctor instructions to the letter so I guess that's why I've had no complications. Again thank you for your reply and good luck on your journey xxx Sent from my SM-G955F using BariatricPal mobile app

It will! Trust the process and keep following your bariatric team's guidelines. I have to be honest and say I even had started to regret a bit like I went through the process and lost only a little before it stopped? This thought had started circulating in my head and then, breakthrough! You will see yours too. Patience is really a new thing for me with this process. Good luck[emoji16] Sent from my SM-N920P using BariatricPal mobile app

Pretty much mirroring what everyone else is saying. I tend to order lean proteins and veggies. I usually get something I wouldn't mind eating a second time, as the leftover has become my best friend. If i go to a steak house, steak and broccoli. If i go to an italian place, grilled chicken parm with veggies instead of pasta, mexican, chicken or steak fajitas but just don't eat the wraps, seafood grilled fish or shrimp and something green, usually broccoli. Pub and bar food, naked wings. Breakfast joints, steak and eggs. Fast food, grilled chicken sandwich but just eat the meat, or a salad. I try not to eat fried foods in general but once in a while if your stomach can take it, its ok. I know I can handle say a chicken nugget, but my body can't handle fried fish of any kind. Good luck to you!

    Unjury protein

I ordered the chicken soup for post op and got it yesterday... it taste like a broth but not as salty so I think I will like it if I can get it to mix well. I didn't get the other flavors because I'm thinking I'm going to go with another brand once I'm off clear liquids post op
