Yup, the stall before the storm.

That's a lot lost already, congrats. A little gain may come after adding food after a liquid diet for a week. I always go up then down when I get my period, that water weight. Sounds like you're doing a great job.

    Calorie Question

I weigh approximately 118 pounds and maintain my weight on 1900 to 2100 calories per day. Who in their right might would want to restrict to the 800-1000 range for maintenance? As the previous poster mentioned, those who restrict for too long destroy their metabolisms. The term is called metabolic derangement. At 3 to 4 months out I was eating about 1000 calories daily. By 6 months I had bumped it up to 1200, and by 9 months I was eating about 1400 to 1500 calories. By 12 months out I was up to 1700, and by 18 months I got up to 1800 to 2000. I am so glad I gradually raised my caloric intake in increments because it kept my metabolic rate in high gear. I am figuratively dancing on a cloud about being able to maintain on 2000+ calories a day.

    Calorie Question

I'm almost 8months post op and it's a rarity that I feel hungry. Are you sure it's not gas that you feel? At about 3 months I thought I was hungry as well but I ended up having reflux issues.

I've been getting what I would call "pre-headaches", that feeling of almost-wooziness where you know it could turn into pain. I've learned that's my sign I'm not eating/drinking enough. The first day or two I managed to have 2 protein shakes each day, maybe a glass of Crystal light. DEFINITELY not enough. In the next few days it would be more like 1 shake, 1 yogurt, 1 juice. I'm still struggling really, really hard to get enough nutrients to avoid the "pass out" feeling. Maybe this is happening for you too? Do you think you're getting enough fluids?

I worried alot about hair loss when I first took this journey but I can say hitting 6 months on May 9th, I have not had any hair loss other than my usual shedding on occasion between styling. I do take my vitamins and calcium chews faithfully so maybe that helps and the additional protein may help since I did not follow a healthy diet in the past so maybe this body change is a help to me than a hinder...
