I had a great feeling today. I went for a walk with my parents in my neighborhood and I haven't really walked around the neighborhood in a long time. It brought back memories from over a year ago when I couldn't even walk one small flat block. Now I'm walking around multiple blocks and up and down hills. Without getting even a little out of breath. It was a great reminder of where I started and how far I've come.

    Early stall? Is this common?

Oh yeah. I'm right there with you. This morning was my first movement downwards in 6 days. I was sleeved on 4/5, dropped 17 lbs in the first 2 weeks and then stalled out. I didn't do anything different during that time. Just pretended it wasn't happening.

    Endoscopy Biopsy

When I had my EGD done, the doc told me that he biopsied all patients for the H. Pylori bacteria just to be on the safe side. I don't know if maybe that's standard practice pre-surgery? I'm sure everything will come back ok for you [emoji6] Sent from my XT1585 using BariatricPal mobile app

If I had a Dollar for every "They are going to Harvest your Organs" comment I could have paid for my Surgery with Dr. Illan. I think if I had it to do over Pre-Op I would have had more funny come-back lines to Help battle peoples fear of Foreign Surgery. If you do decide to be open just be prepared for all the personal concern and baggage people will put on you, they think they are looking out for you but it truly is just their limited knowledge on the subject that is speaking. It is now my mission to use my weight-loss and recovery to Help others learn about a Safe & Affordable option if their insurance won't cover Bariatrics. Let me also Congratulate both of you for making a Great decision in Surgeons, I Promise it is the Best Vacation you will ever take.

    Wasting food

Lol are you in a city you could offer it to a Homeless person sometimes it's presumptive to think they will want it I once bought a homeless lady sleeping in the snow in the ally behind my apt Starbucks Breakfast and hot chocolate and she yelled at me :/ but I never I give up I give fruit and spare change and sweaters or old blankets to people with signs on corners when I see them most are very thankful for anything you can offer or tell you if they don't want it... Sent from my XT1635-02 using the BariatricPal App I pick over my restaurant food so much and tear it apart I wouldn't offer it to my dog. I live in an affluent area and there are no homeless people here. Unless they are hiding in Porshe 911s.

    Hey guys... I'm a failure

Hey, Just keep on learning about weight loss. When I was losing weight and even now when I'm maintaining my weight, I avoid "white" foods. That means bread, Pasta, sugar, rice, flour etc. You need to make sure you feed yourself really well with nutritious foods. Use smaller portion sizes and try not to eat after 7pm or so. Keep at it. Keep learning and keep trying Everyone runs into roadblocks along the way. Best wishes, Heather
