    Not getting full, no energy

I was the same way with the lack of restriction. I didn't feel it at first....I could pretty easily eat more than my 1-2 oz I was supposed to have (especially soup!) And I remember thinking how very easy it would be to go back to my old binging ways. Well, long story short, about 4 weeks after surgery I was eating lean turkey....which was ok on my plan at that time but I was eating far too fast, not chewing, not paying attention to portion size. and about 10 bites in I was in a lot of pain and ended up vomiting it all back up. Thankfully I didn't do any damage to my pouch but it sure scared me. And really showed me just how important it is that I fix my 'head'.... Now that I'm eating solid foods it is much easier to feel it too. I also think I never really understood what "full" felt like. I always thought it was the painful, uncomfortable, going to explode feeling but it's not. After talking to my NUT, I now know that full for me is more of a slight heaviness in my stomach - and when I feel that I know the next bite or two will send me over the top.

Omg. I'd be like a lunatic. They know you've been through months of insurance hoops already. [emoji30]

    Scale lying?

I lost about 25 pounds in a month before I noticed much difference in size. Now I've lost about 5 pounds in the last 2 months, but I'm down 3 sizes! Bodies are weird, but this surgery works if you give it a chance to work. Keep drinking water, exercising and eating enough protein! Sent from my Nexus 5X using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sleeved 4/17/17

I was sleeved on 4/13 and I had a similar experience. No pain, except gas pain. Man, that was brutal for about 5 days. I'm 2 weeks post-op and anxious to have my ONE EGG [emoji23] Haven't tried the Premier Protein shakes, though... the carbs scare me. I'm already 30 lbs down. Don't want to derail myself!!

    Surgery Date April 27

Good luck! Mine was yesterday. Its rough (it was for me anyway) the first day. Just walk, walk walk and sip on whatever liquids they allow you. Day 2 is a thousand times better!

    More sleeves than pouches?

Is a pouch bypass? I choose a sleeve due to the maintenance involved with bypass, plus I felt it was to drastic.

    Sleeved 4/17/17

Popular day. It was mine too. I was released Tuesday afternoon. Was very weepy yesterday until I filled my pain meds (my pharmacy closed before I was discharged) but after, I was fine. Walked a bit today and my heating pad has been my favorite thing. I'm sipping on something constantly and had tomato soup for lunch. So delicious! I had purchased all these beautiful organic broths and when I tried them they tasted like cardboard soaked in water. So Campbell's soup for me!
