    Didn't notice my weight loss

I've been getting lots of compliments on how I look now and how I'm doing a great job on my weight loss but I haven't noticed it. The other day I decided to take some side by side photos and it wasn't until then that I noticed it. Just wondering do anyone else feel the same way?!!!

    Pre op weight loss stall

Thanks! My cycle is going to happen in 3wks, and as for the sodium, I'm not a fan of salt so that will be minimal. I weighted myself again today and the scale kept going up, then down, then up again. I'm planning on just having a shake for breakfast, dinner and a light lunch and see if anything budges. I'm just sad since I have my pre op consult tomorrow and wanted to be writhing 5lbs of my goal. I usually drink between 90 to 140 oz of water daily. Soooo I dnt know what could be it! But I'll def. look into your recommendations!

    April Sleevers? Buddies?

My surgery is 4/28 and I am 5 days into my pre-op liquid diet. It has been harder than I thought. I'm fine till I see or smell food and then my mouth starts watering. I finally got my energy back last night which was really nice. It is getting a little easier as the days go on. I'm just so excited about my surgery next Friday!

I just had surgery on Friday and I came home yesterday. The day of surgery was the worst. It varies for everyone but I had a lot of pain the first day. Mainly in my shoulder from gas and my stomach and chest were sore. I still got out of bed with help from the nurse and walked around the hospital because I was told that would help with the gas pains and I would do anything to make that go away. By the next day I still was sore and had some gas pain but I felt much better. I was able to get out of bed with little to no help.and continued with walks around the hospital floor. I would say 2 weeks off work would be perfect. I am home now and moving around, able to take a shower by myself and take care of everything on my own but I am still really sore and tire easily. Each day is better and I have more energy. I haven't needed a lot.of food prep. I just split a protein drink in half or grab some sugar free jello or.popsicles. My husband and is here for anything else like our litter box and some house cleaning etc. But as far as taking care of myself with bathing, getting out of bed or the recliner, going to the bathroom etc., I was good from the second or.third day. It hurt a little.but it was tolerable. Hope that helps and good luck with your journey Sent from my SM-N910V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Pre op weight loss stall

I don't necessarily have any tips for you but I'm in the exact same boat. I'm supposed to lose a certain amount before my pre op appointment May 12 and I've been doing everything right yet I've remained stuck right around the same weight for over a week. I guess under regular circumstances that would be a fairly normal weight loss plateau but I'm on a deadline here. These last five pounds are killing me. It's so stressful and frustrating!

    Hair loss prevention

Biotin is a good natural product to use. It will strengthen your hair, nails, skin. Every supplement/medications have side effects. Biotin could possibly increase facial hair and cause acne among other things. I counteract the side effects with a Vitamin B complex, which is good for you as it will help increase blood flow to the scalp. And of course a multivitamin, Protein, and Water. A shampoo wtih Vitamin E and Keratin. I am a nurse practitioner and I have prescribed this to many patients and have seen great results. As always, check with your doctor before taking any supplements. Best Wishes!
