I agree with your physician to stay away from narcotics and it is tough not to be able to take NSAIDs anymore. Has your doctor suggested Tylenol? My husband also has sarcoidosis, is your Pulmonologist a sarcoidosis specialist? My husband goes to Mount Sinai in NYC. We learned early on that someone who treats many cases of sarcoidosis gets it!! Sarcoidosis could definitely be interfering. I don't know anything about the gyno issues but if you trust your physician, listen to their advice. I really hope everything works out and you start to feel better.

    SURGERY IS IN THE MORNING!!!

Walking helps a lot for gas pains. I walked so much around hospital that I really did not need pain medication. I took Tylenol The first night. You will do ok. This is a journey. A good journey [emoji3]!

    Strange Sounds

Pfft... 2 years out and my stomach is as noisy as ever. Doesn't matter what I eat or drink, it's gurgling or growling or some other sound I can't describe. You just kind of get used to it. Sent from my phone. Please forgive brevity and spelling.

    Today is the big day!

Im getting ready to head over to the hospital, I'm feeling so many different things, anxious, excited, nervous, and a bit scared [emoji13] I pray everything goes well and i can come home tomorrow. I don't really have many friends here but I have wonderful support from my family and boyfriend. It would be nice to have someone going through this as well though so anyone else having the surgery looking for friendly support, reach out to me!

Hi All, I just got sleeved on Monday along with a hiatal hernia repair. I'm in much less pain than I thought I would be so I'm very hopeful this recovery will be fast! I lost 19lbs on my two week low carb pre op diet so I plan to continue that way of eating once I'm on solids again. I started at 367, was 348 on surgery day and want to get down to less than 20% body fat, whatever that scale number will be. Any tips on what I should start to do to be active when the time comes? I was thinking just walking to start with but your suggestions are welcome! Thanks [emoji4]

    Worth it!

I love this quote! Great find. For those of you struggling to view the picture, it is a medallion that says "It's not going to be easy, it's going to be worth it."

    Sabotaging myself?

@@Hoping052017 if you don't change your mind...no amount of surgery will help you with the weight. My biggest struggle is sweet things and even though I'm 1.5 years out, I have the daily thought of "Oh EM Gee, I would LOVE a cupcake" but I have enough willpower to say no... even with the surgery I can eat a cupcake. It might take me ALL day to do it but I can do it. This surgery is only a tool but you must know how to use that tool to make it work. I wish you the best of luck!!!

    Ever so slowly backsliding...

Thanks so much everyone for all the kind words and encouragement! Much better day today. Need to steer clear of sweets for a while and I did so successfully today. On another note, my weight dropped again.... Hmmm... trying not to use that as an "excuse" to eat poorly though. I think that is where I am getting hung up (partially) and allowing that thought to lead me to believe I can eat whatever I want because "look I am not gaining!" The unhealthy eating will catch up with me eventually though, so just gotta keep to a meal plan/calories for now and see how it goes before I decide to increase my calories again. Really appreciate all of you more than I can express!!
