I'd be happy to be your pal through your journey since we are so similar. I learned a lot along the way and there are things I wish I knew more than I could've talk to somebody about Who was more my age and going through a revision . My private email is and nwhc@live.com if you ever want to communicate privately.

You should really contact your team about this and ask their advice. The reality is you can eat whatever you want to but do you really want to take the risk?

    Everything tastes different

It's frustrating isn't it! Lol it actually has made me a fantastic cook though. I can't stand frozen boxed pre made food anymore so I just make everything from scratch and now it taste fine. Processed food helped get us to the mess we had become so steer clear of that baby.

    Pre-op advice please!

Hi all, I'm very new to the site, just joined this evening. So a big hello to everyone. I'm going to be having my gastric sleeve operation next month, here in the UK. I have done a lot of research on the main areas of the diet and the op, and have of course discussed this with my surgeon. I just wondered if anyone had any extra advice they wanted to throw in? Anything I won't have thought of/anticipated? Any advice on things to buy in preparation, or that I should take to the hospital with me would be particularly helpful. I've read some people saying to wear really loose clothing, and others suggesting some sort of control-wear to support the tummy area after. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! Christina. x

Man, I started out higher than you. You can do it. You just have to stick to the plan and fight it out. (That's what I am about to have to do with this last 40 pounds!!)

    waiting for approval

My paperwork was submitted on Tuesday so now I am waiting. I have lost 21 pounds since this journey started in September and this has by been the worst part of the journey. After six months of weigh ins and then two weeks waiting to meet with the surgeon and now waiting 2 to 20 days for approval. Then a class for the pre op diet and then the two week diet it seems like the journey takes forever. I wish you all luck.
