    Cold Turkey Anyone?

Chew chew chew though.. never really practiced that. What's there to 'chew chew chew' in scrambled eggs? (I do that for kale though). I've been able to follow the 'no drinking while eating' instructions, mostly because I eat my proteins with vegetable stew.. [emoji3]

Thank you guys for all the feedback!! I'm definitely not drinking again until I hit 6 months post-op, if not longer. I've never been a big drinker but being young and around it so often it's definitely hard to say no. Bachelorette parties and weddings at least once every two months, living in New Orleans, being single and going on dates. You name it. But that's what this whole decision was about - a lifestyle change to say no to the way I was living

As long as you willing to change you can't fail good look let me no how your getting on with ur journey ? And if you need any information on my journey to help yours please ask ??

    Cold Turkey Anyone?

Drinking during meals is my big one too. I've done my best to stop. While it hasn't been 30 mins before/after, it's been usually at least 15.

    Juicing

My md and nut discourage juicing. They explained it to me to get enough juice for a serving you'd have to put in 5 or more pieces of fruit. You can't eat those 5 pieces of fruit but because you are juicing them you can drink them. Therefore drinking the calories, sugar and everything else involved with those fruits. I'm sure I didn't explain it as well as they did for me but I hope that makes sense.

So now waiting for the big day

Your doctor's advice trumps all. If he said that was what you should get, go with that.

    5 month update with pics!

To answer a few different questions.... I'm 5'7 I lost 13lbs on the preop diet before my surgery. I have followed the food guidelines a lot! I listen to my body and really push the Protein. I drink about 80oz of Water per day. I go to the gym 3 times per week, do yoga 2 times per week and I walk at least a mile EVERY day! An average day for me food wise: Breakfast - a low carb Carnation Instant breakfast packet mixed into 1 cup of 2% Fairlife milk. Mid morning snack - a handful of roasted almonds lunch - 1/2 cup of chicken fried rice (with carrots, peas and scrambled egg whites) Afternoon snack: 1 Colby jack cheese stick Dinner: small piece of grilled/pan seared Ahi tuna, green Beans and sautéed squash Sometimes I have 3-5 Nilla wafers for dessert.
