The hunger we feel during the pre-surgery diet, does it feel the same after surgery? Meaning is it a struggle when you smell foods and watch others eat. I am on day 11 of full liquids pre surgery. It's been tough the last two days not to take a bite out of everything I see.

Wow.. you are going through a lot.. take it slow and do what you can. The weight will fall off as long as you eat right and try and walk.. I hope you feel better! Just think to yourself it's coming off faster then if you didn't have the surgery! Good luck sweetheart!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Congrats I'm so happy for you!!! I was sleeved on December 14th, lost close to 50 pounds so far. A little concerned because I had a stall for almost 3 weeks and I didn't know what to do.. then I checked the scale like two days ago and it started moving. Any stall problems?? Also anyone that has second thoughts about the sleeve like I did.. get it! Best thing I've done for myself health and confidence wise.

Your story is similar to mine as well. Lost 10 lbs before surgery. I was sleeved December 7th 2016. I have lost an additional 43 lbs which is 50% of the xcess weight. Started working out, jogging, and yoga. I feel amazing. I agree best decision EVER! Congrats on your success and keep up the good work. Hard work=success. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Food

On the go cheese - babybel, laughing cow, cheese sticks Jerky Lunchables (don't eat the crackers) Okios triple zero yogurts (cup or drink) Ready to drink Protein drinks High protein chips/crackers like Quest, WonderSlim, Medifast etc. I make unflavored Protein added puddings and Gelatin. You can buy 2-5oz cups and lids at your local restaurant supply store. At home meals I've made shrimp (ground) curry with zucchini, chicken and cheese stuffed crepes, Korean bbq, swai with again glaze, crust less quiche. They all have 300cals or less per serving with 17g protein or more. Homemade protein fudgecicles 12oz fairlife milk and 2 scoops GENEPRO. Mix well and pour into 6 pack 3oz popcicle mold. Makes 6 serving 54 cals and 10g protein. Can add in things like PB2, banana baby food, instant coffee, sugar free syrups or ground freeze dried strawberries for only a few more cals and carbs.

Sleeved in December and I feel amazing

No, the pre-op diet was rough for me too, but it's much better after surgery (for me at least).

    Ice or heat?

Itchy for sure is a sign of healing. I find wearing the binder I got at the hospital cuts some of the soreness by stopping my stomach from moving around when I walk or pulling with gravity. I also put a heating pad on them a few times which felt good.
