Feeling very sore and sleepy, but getting my fluids and steps in. Gas has settled in my right shoulder/neck, so I'll walk that out soon. So happy to be on the loser's bench! Can't wait to see where this journey takes me! Here we go..

Hey all! Using my daughter's account because it was already logged in. I am 60 years old and have had my band for 8 years with no problems. SW was 256 and CW is 180. I never really had any of the typical complications associated with the lap band. However, finding that "sweet spot" has never been easy. My port needs to be replaced, not the band, just the port. Yesterday, I saw my daughter's surgeon (she had a sleeve in Dec) and he asked me if I had ever considered converting to a sleeve. So my question is, if you had a lapand that was fairly successful and am happy where I am, what would you do?

    Last meal

The night before surgery I didn't have any food. I don't know of anyone who does. Most people are on Clear liquids the day before surgery. I was.

    Cigna insurance...

I had my first visit in September. Had 90 days of documented weigh ins. I had part of my colon removed in November, which through me off. I completed everything in January. It took CIGNA approximately one week to approve. Having bypass March 8th.

    Cigna insurance...

I have the same requirements with cigna as @SeaShells82 has. But I started mine on jan 22nd. Had my pysch evaluation this past Monday and will have my 2nd nutritional appt next week. So, I have 2 more after that, it'd be Mar and April. The bariatric center will submit paperwork at the last meeting in a April. Depending on how long Cigna takes, I suspect it'll be end of April or early May for my surgery. Start to Finish, about 3-4 months. And congrats on making the decision for better health! ??
