I began with BMI around 34-35 and I'm at a normal BMI now. It took me 6 months to get here. I hit a stall at three months and may be at another stall now. Keep to your program and don't feel discouraged. Believe that you are worth investing in!

    Exercise!

I am 8 days post op.. I'm still off of work because of the obvious restrictions. But I'm worried about exercise, should I be worried. What should I be doing if anything? What are you guys doing for exercise?

    Diet Coke

You need to forget about the carbonated beverages! Didn't your surgeon go through this with you? It expands your stomach and can do damage as well. You've come this far, stay focused, you can get past the urges!

I did the patches for the first month after surgery. The only complaint I have is that they didn't seem to stay on throughout the day like they should... like the adhesive wasn't strong enough so they would roll up by the end of the day. Not sure how much I got out of them, so I went ahead and switched to the vitamin chews for now until I am a little further out. Anyone have tips or suggestions on why they wouldn't stay on?? The directions said to put on parts of your body with little to no hair, so I would wear on my shoulders.

    Sabotaging myself?

@@Hoping052017 if you don't change your mind...no amount of surgery will help you with the weight. My biggest struggle is sweet things and even though I'm 1.5 years out, I have the daily thought of "Oh EM Gee, I would LOVE a cupcake" but I have enough willpower to say no... even with the surgery I can eat a cupcake. It might take me ALL day to do it but I can do it. This surgery is only a tool but you must know how to use that tool to make it work. I wish you the best of luck!!!
